This family run Mexican restaurant is very near to our neighborhood. It was a welcome addition to the area when it opened a few years ago.
We find ourselves here on average of twice per month.
The owners/managers are so warm and personable. They have lunch specials that come with a soft drink that are reasonably priced. Some of our favorite lunch specials are the Chili Verde burritos and the beef chimichanga.
Other menu items that are highlights are the Macho Jalapeños appetizer, chili relleno and the honey, chipotle shrimp tacos.
Save room for one of the house made desserts!

My boyfriend surprised me by taking us to Postre Cafe and it was such a great experience! The food was delicious! I got the Postre enchiladas with the most delicious white sauce and my boyfriend had the Baja (grilled fish) tacos and we enjoyed everything so much. Great atmosphere, very clean, and great service. We are excited to come back!

One of our favorite mexican restaurants! Eveything is always served with amazing amounts of spices! We particularly love the Molcajata! Its seasoned so well, and piping hot!

I visited Postre Cafe in Layton and tried their $11 lunch special smothered beef burrito with a soda. The burrito was generously portioned, packed with flavorful beef, and topped with a rich enchilada-style sauce that added a nice kick. The rice and beans were fresh and well-seasoned, complementing the dish perfectly. The soda was a refreshing touch. Service was quick and friendly, and the cozy vibe made it a great spot for a quick lunch. I’d definitely return to try more of their menu

Friendly and cheerful greeting. Very clean. Had Chile Verde burrito with rice and beans. It was a bean and cheese burrito topped with Chile Verde. Very cheesy. Tender pork, great sauce, pretty mild heat. Beans and rice were perfect.

My wife and I decided to try Postre Cafe in Layton after reading many positive Google reviews. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and the service was friendly. However, my chili verde was disappointing—it contained quite a few fatty pieces that made it hard to enjoy. My wife ordered two cheese enchiladas, which she really liked (she may have chosen better than I did). I mentioned the issue to our waiter, who was very polite and apologized, saying they’d get it right next time. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I’m not sure we’ll be back.
