Had the delight of dining here for lunch on a weekday afternoon and the experience was memorable. Students run the front and back of the restaurants which brings a fun energy to the atmosphere. This can only be rivaled by the intricate flavors and attention to detail with the meal. While the students are charming in nature, choose your time wisely as busy days can overwhelm service.

I have been to 3 of the other restaurants at CIA, and this one just did not live up to the others. We were there for Sunday brunch and the only things we enjoyed were the table share items (pastries[not fantastic], yogurt, granola and fresh fruit). While most of the food was tolerable, the waffles (from the chicken and waffles) were disgusting. I have had better frozen waffles. I recognize that the idea of these restaurants are designed for students to learn, but again having been to other CIA restaurants I expect MUCH better. Not only was the food not enjoyable but to force a gratuity and not give any kind of option wasn’t acceptable in this case. Our server should have had a much more thorough training in hospitality before ever being put in front of a customer.

Anne Hathaway did not spit in my food.
Buffalo Quail is the nicest bridge between lowbrow & highbrow, but the delicately sweet finish of the sauce’s flavor might be lost at your next Super Bowl party. The campus-brewed beer is quite refined, even the scotch ale that gives your taste buds a workout!

It felt an honor to be a part of future chefs and restaurateurs learning the craft and trade. While the food may not be at the level of Manhattans best restaurants, it was clearly above average and the service was kind and attentive.

The food and service were excellent the only thing that was odd was that they made us a 4pm reservation and when we arrived they told us the kitchen closes at 4:15. Even with this we never felt rushed I’d like to thank them for that and a great meal!

SUPER salty burger, like the cap fell off the salt shaker. Truly not edible. They took 10% off the bill bit should of comped the entire meal. Staff was friendly but not worth the dining experience unfortunately.
