A friend of mine recommended Post Oak in Burkburnett, Texas as an ideal date restaurant for the BBQ fanatic. I must say that Post Oak did not disappoint in the way of mouth watering pulled pork with huge slices of vegetables for my meal. I will say that the ambience in the corner where we sat at was bare and lack luster compared to the other seating areas in the restaurant. The sauce was AMAZING! It is definitely in the top 5 that I’ve had in my life. Overall, Post Oak is a wonderful BBQ restaurant in Burkburnett.

Service was great…..my beans and potato salad were good….the smoked cabbage didn’t catch on with me….surprised by the ribs….meaty and tender. My brisket….4 slices from the end of the flat, should never have been served. It was very dry. My daughter had chopped brisket and it was good. And the fountain drinks….just yuck!! Overall, I wasn’t mad….I will go back….

The business is clean with outside seating. The waitress was awesome and eager to help with your needs. The menu is on the smaller side, but fulfills all of your BBQ needs . The brisket was some of the best I have ever had, with a great compliment of sides to top it off. Great place to eat.

The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star review is because I had to go back and pick up a potato. The staff apologized several times. The food was amazing. I was really impressed with the communication of the work staff to get peoples food out in a timely manor. The staff is very flexible offering delivery in the recent snow storm to accommodate and get their food out to people in burk. Top notch staff and restaurant.

Great quality BBQ! Got the brisket, jalapeno sausage, potato salad and cowboy pinto beans. The brisket I didn’t even need a knife as it just fell apart by stabbing it with my fork it was so juicy and tender. The sausage and beans were good as well. The potato salad was hot with hints of sour cream that made it really stand out from other standard potato salads making it a favorite of mine. Peach cobbler was also very fresh and well made. Highly recommend!

This barbecue restaurant is a must try. You won’t regret it. We had the chopped brisket nachos, frito pie, brisket sandwiches, sausage and a few others. Everything was amazingly tasty. Even the sides. Their potato salad is like none other. We will be making frequent visits to this restaurant for sure.
