We tried Teton House today and really enjoyed our experience. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and efficient. We were a party of 6 – including two young kids. I always appreciate when a restaurant serves the kid’s drinks with lids on them.

Service was very good. We had an Old Fashioned and Spiced Rum cocktails that were well mixed. We had sausage stuffed mushroom apitizers that were really tasty. I also had a cup of the tomato basil soup, which was delicious. The main course was prime rib, fully loaded baked potato, and asparagus. The meat was perfectly cooked, as were the potatoes. The asparagus was over salted, but server Christina brought out more, which was perfect. Ambiance was a bit dated, but average for a steakhouse. Table, glasses, and cutlery were clean, bathrooms are dated but clean. The most noticable thing was that the carpets badly need to be cleaned or replaced. All in all though, it was a good experience.

Prime Rib & Rib Eye dinners were very nicely prepared & seasoned, soups were flavorful, appetizer yummy & desert was Huckleberry cream cheese pie..Highly recommend this establishment. Service was outstanding, Chef cooked the meal just as ordered…Enjoyed the atmosphere & hope that they have outdoor dinning this Summer.

After readying many reviews for the Teton House I came with high expectations. I left with an average experience which matched the quality of the food. There were 2 notable exceptions. 1. A 24 oz One tree Huckleberry Cider for $6 and 2. The best fried brussel sprout leaves I’ve ever had! I had the 16 oz prime rib (rare) and was underwhelmed. It was definitely bigger than advertised but with the exception of one piece of fat it really packed any flavor. The dipping sauce was bland and other than much needed moisture it added very little if anything to the dish. The horse radish sauce is classic store bought mayo that someone waved some horse radish at and called it good. I’m reasonably certain no one fresh made that sauce which is really sad. The au gratin potatoes that came as a side were equally as bland and disappointingly luke warm. My guest ate the chicken fried steak. Compared to the steak I was pleasantly surprised by the better flavor. Unfortunately the gravy was cold and the steak was warm at best.

We had lunch here with friends. I had the flat Iron steak. It was cooked to perfection. The Brussels sprout ‘petals’ were delicious (and unusual!) And so was my seafood chowder. Four of us ate there and we all 4 said our food was delicious. The service matched the food: excellent. Our friends live here and hadn’t been before but said they would be back. Next time we are in town, we will go back.

Was really looking forward to a new steakhouse in Post Falls but it really fell short. Was clean but food choices were expensive and menu was misleading. French dip supposed to have coleslaw but did not. Teton House potatoes were just really cheesy au gratin. Fries and other options not available. READ the small print on the bottom of the menu, Cash only or you get charged 2.5% fir CREDIT AND DEBIT but no ATM on premises. Waiter was really nice and brought out a Chocolate Tort when I mentioned it was my birthday. Good beer taps and Wine list. Doubt we will try again.

My husband and I were looking forward to going to a local restaurant and hoping for some yummy food. Sadly, I was very disappointed. The server was “busy busy” while only taking care of one 8 top, that was wrapping up, our table and one other couple. After we were seated it took about 15 to 20 minutes before our waiter checked in, got a drink order, came back with our drinks and then told us he had to finish the 8 top. Okay….

This place, I believe, is on its tail end of survival. Was awesome it’s first year, but last night was pretty bad and their empty Friday night parking lot was a clear sign to stay away If you’re unable to handle guests and cook food properly then you need to be honest with your customers and the public and close for the times you don’t have staff or have sick staff.

At first we weren’t sure….the atmosphere seemed plain. But then we were greeted by the hostess. Very friendly. Waitress Johnny on the spot. Answered all our questions with a smile. We ordered the Tommy Hawk dinner for two. The wait time is worth it. Homemade delicious soups. Wonderful stuffed mushrooms. And the steak cooked to perfection. All the staff worked together to assure not one patron went without. We had the best service. I would highly recommend.

I know it’s hard times for everybody in the food service industry, this is not our first bad experience here or even our second. I’ve probably left a review before and I definitely believe in giving a local business a second shot. However, after being talked to rudely over the phone like we were a nuisance, even though there was only a 10-minute wait for our food to be cooked. I did a pickup order and spent $75 including my 20% tip and this is how my $40 steak gets received. Maybe businesses like this shouldn’t exist, and regardless of circumstance this is the last time we will go here.
