I really would have liked to rate this restaurant higher because the staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. I had the lunch special. The best part was the cheese enchilada. It had a good flavor and the cheese was smooth yet flavorful. The taco was okay – nothing to brag about. The rice was very bland and the beans had a different taste.

I did not enjoy my meal. The refried beans were good, but nothing else was. I found it hard to believe a shot glass of Pico was an extra buck. Sheesh. The soapy pia was just plain horrible. There are not enough bees in the world to produce honey that would cover that icky taste. Fortunately, Kailey, my waitress was very pleasant.
I wish I had a second good thing to say about this restaurant. Sadly, I do not.

WORST MEXICAN FOOD EVER! We decided to drive from Dallas to our hometown in East Texas. It was my and my Godmother’s birthday, so we had her meet us in Jacksonville to treat her to a birthday lunch. well, we had a party of 10. The sopapillas are NOT unlimited. I asked for one before I ordered my food and it took over 15 mins, then when my family asked for some , she never brought them and said that the cook forgot and made the food instead. she brought them much later . I’m assuming so no one would ask for more. We got 1 sopapilla /person and they tasted like fried biscuits. I ordered the chile relleno and it was CLEARLY frozen because the inside was FILLED with liquid (see pics)..2 ppl in the party got chimichangas that were CLEARLY FRIED BURRITOES WITH CHILI ON TOP! The had suggested Jalapeno Tree, but I thought they were closed bc I had not been to Jacksonville in a while. They gave me a hard time for the rest of the day because NO ONE enjoyed their food, (except my God father, but he eats anything and he got a burger).
