I been a long time fan of this place. It changed owners not too long ago and it’s definitely NOT worth the visit. The menu has completely changed. Although it moonlights as the Portugese manor, in fact, the menu is not. It’s a blend of Portugese and Dominican food. Even the Portugese dishes are cooked a la “dominican” and are not Portugese. They kept the same price structure for significantly lower quality meats and service. See attached pictures. The steak came out cold, yes cold.

No more salad with dinners, despite the fact the price for the platers is the same. No more how’s your food? Or checking in with the customers. I came on a Saturday 6pm so it should have been the best service for prime time. There were two other tables seated.
I’m short, this is more a Dominican disco type location. It is not a Portugese Resturant.
Would NOT recommend and I gave this place a fair shot.

One of my favorite all-time restaurants. High-quality steak and seafood dishes, and a very popular sangria. However, their other cocktails are great too though usually you see pitchers at every table. Service is top-notch; always attentive. Try the Zarzuela or Filet Mignon a Portuguesa to be blown away with flavor. Shrimp in garlic sauce appetizer is killer. Some may say decor is dated, but for me, it adds to the charm.

This is not longer a mainly Portuguese Food restaurant. The menu is vastly scaled down on the Portuguese food and contains many Dominican dishes, like Mofongo. The Portuguese dishes we ordered were pretty good. Still, this is no longer a purely Portuguese restaurant. We had Steak (Good), Peruvian Ceviche (Good), and Fried Whole Red Snapper (Okay). Pictures have been attached to this review.

The restaurant has an old-world feel, the service was attentive, and the food was quite good.
I had hardly sat down when the waiter brought a loaf of crusty bread hot from the oven. I ordered the filet mignon a Portuguese and a glass of sangria. The filet was cooked perfectly, accompanied by gently steamed vegetables, rice, and thin slices of potato that were lightly fried to a very pleasing texture. Although the ham on top of the filet could have been dispensed with, having been something chopped in reformed, the rest of the meal was more than worthwhile. The sauce was rich with thick slices of garlic.
I tried the serradura desert, the one called sawdust. The waiter told me it was a traditional Portuguese dish. I found it quite disappointing. The pudding was much like Cool Whip, spongy , thick and without flavor. However, the Portuguese Manor coffee drink was most excellent! Skip the desert and get the coffee.

The food at Portuguese Manor was really tasty, and the portions are very generous for the price and all the seafood you get. The calamari appetizer was really great and delicious. The seafood paella was a great deal because you got a lot of really fresh seafood; however it was a little salty and didn’t have the beautiful soccarat at the bottom.

The salad and bread which came with every meal was also good.

First time having Portugese dinner for a birthday celebration. The whole place emanate Portugese charm, from the dinnerware to the entrees. Lots of good wine and music to accompany our night.

I have to say I love this place!!! Been going here for 20 years. They have a new owner but still they don’t disappoint. I was a little skeptical not gonna lie. Owner is very friendly and hands on. Staff is always there with a smile and greet you with one as well. I just ordered some stuffed salmon and hash potatoes. This was so delicious. It was well seasoned. The stuffing was breaded along with more seafood and vegetables. You have to try the shrimp salad also. FYI, they are definitely not stingy with the seafood. Sorry, I did the mistake of eating the food before I left this review. But still take my word for it’s delicious.
