First time here. Date night with my man. I made reservations through Open Table…I guess you really don’t need to make reservations for a Tuesday night 🙂
I will say that we were there for about 40 minutes when we were called by the restaurant, reminding me of my reservation. I explained that we were seated by Adam and we all had a laugh.
Adam was exceptionally awesome!
They were terribly short staffed last night and he was working very hard to keep every one of the patrons happy. He even had some great suggestions on what to cook with some dressing that we had purchased from New Mexico. Adam knows about Hatch green chile!! Super cool guy and he made our evening special.
The food was ok. I read all of the reviews from both yelp and google before I went. I think that if the stats all align correctly, this spot can be pretty damn good. We ordered General Tso’s calamari for our app, I got the steak sub with sweet potato fries and my man got chicken pesto pasta and added shrimp. The plates did not disappoint and my drinks were poured well.
Will be back again soon 🙂

I liked the place and the food was ok. Since I had covid, I can’t taste a lot of foods. I got the clam pasta, the clams were huge and plump and delicious, I could taste them, but I couldn’t the pasta and the broth. My son had the same and said it was great. The rest of my party enjoyed their food too. We all shared a plate of guacamole and salsa and they were pretty good.
The restaurant is nice and comfortable, their outdoor patio looked nice too, but it was too hot to get an outdoor table,
I only gave service 3 stars because it was so overboard, it was uncomfortable. Our waitress was on top of us every second of our meal. she set the drinks down and before we even took a sip, she asked if everything was ok. She did the same with the appetizers and the meal, she came back before we could even try and ask if everything was ok. Once, she put something down, she walked away a couple steps, turned around and came back asking if everything was ok. She came to our table at least 8 times. That gets old pretty fast, specially when you are in the middle of chewing your food or in the middle of a conversation.
I don’t know if it was her idea or she was told to do that, but it was pretty bad. We were on vacation in Portsmouth, but if I lived there, I would not go back just because of that.
PS: we still left a big tip because she did her job well.

Oh the clam appetizer is soooo good I want to make it at home. 8 clams in a delightful herb infused oil served with little pieces of buttered toast..yum. The reuben on rye was great. Service was friendly and efficient. Place is very nice, great sports vibe and nice firepit outside to eat by when cool.

Solid little place. We went for lunch and sat in the dining room. The pizza was good. Service was friendly and laid back. We were one of two tables due to it being early. I can imagine the night crowd being lively.

This place is a solid go-to for classic American food done right. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. Fridays are an absolute win because of the $1 raw bar—great quality oysters at that price are hard to beat, and they were super fresh. What really made the experience stand out, though, was our server Mercy. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. You can tell she genuinely cares about great service. Between the food, the Friday raw bar deal, and Mercy’s top-notch service, this spot is definitely worth coming back to.

Service was excellent. Didn’t make a reservation but were lucky enough to be seated promptly. I’ve been here several times before, but this time the food didn’t seem as good as usual for them. (always had EXCELLENT food!) The nachos were kinda soggy and bland and their calamari was swimming in oil. I SO miss their $1 raw bar! Hopefully they’ll bring it back soon!
Update : they brought their raw car back and it is fabulous once again!!
