Dear friends, On Saturday, June 17, a two-inch sprinkler pipe located in the apartment above our restaurant ruptured, instantly flooding the floors below. Nobody was hurt, but there resulted a huge mess and great deal of damage, which will take months to clean up and repair. While it’s too soon to say exactly when we will reopen, we’re already looking forward to serving you, our beloved community, as soon as we’re back on our feet. We’ll post updates here and on our social media sites as the work progresses. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Thanks for your thoughts and well wishes. Splendid place downtown Portsmouth. They’re dog friendly and were kind enough to give us an outside table on a long weekend without any prior reservations. The staff was welcoming and the food was really good. The portions were big and there were plenty of vegetarian options. We could also enjoy some street music and overall it was a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this place!

We stopped in here because we love beer- who doesn’t?! We decided to get some food as well. The beer was great and so was the food. We got two different types of loaded fries- the cheese and the Irish curry. Both phenomenal! The other two in our party did the lobster roll and the nachos and they say those were great too. I would happily return!

My husband and I visited while passing through Portsmouth in September of 2022 and had a fantastic experience. We were drawn in by the mosaic on the sidewalk out front and we stayed for the local brews and seafood. The clam chowder was awesome and the fish and chips tasted so fresh!! I loved that the bathroom door was huge and made of steel. I saw they’ve been closed for repairs after a water main break, so I hope they get back up on their feet again soon. We’d love to travel out here and visit again!!

A great little brewery located in downtown Portsmouth. We had a really good customer service the feta spread was incredible and their chicken schnitzel was delicious. I highly recommend this place. Oh and the most important thing a great variety of beer.

We ended up having dinner at this brewery even though we had other prefererred places on our day trip to NH. It was great!

Stopped in on a visit looking for an interesting lunch place. The food met our needs while the beers were just there. Service was great.
The Salmon wrap and the Cauliflower appetizer were wonderfully tasty. The nachos were just ok, not bad, but not exceptional.

Had the fish and chips, great portion size. The chips went along well with the special tartar sauce. The nachos are gargantuan. Don’t under estimate them. Blueberry IPA to top it off. Beautiful location with great historical views. I recommend it as a solid stop thru New England.

Portsmouth Brewery is one of the most lively venues in downtown Portsmouth. The seating is different in every room so you get a different experience each visit. This is the perfect place to bring a large group of friends and order a few beers or cocktails. The only downside is that the restaurant is constantly busy, with slower than average service. We enjoy this as it allows us to slow down and enjoy it.
The menu is constantly changing but one thing remains constant – the variety of vegetarian and vegan options. While I am no longer a vegetarian, the veggie burgers, falafel, and flatbreads I have had over the years have been delicious. The options are well-priced and hearty. You will have no problem filling up with their entrees and oversized nachos.

My Food was delicious and yummy. The fish sandwich hit the spot. It was big in size. My server checked on us from time to time very sweet. And she provided me with hot sauce that I needed lol .
