Good food, good service. Had fish and chips and they were excellent. Clam chowder was very good. I would definitely eat here again.

The food and service is amazing. Know that if you go for lunch you won’t be seated in the main restaurant overlooking the bay. They have an enclosed patio they use for lunch. I had the captain’s platter and everything tasted great. My family said the clam chowder was some of the best they have had. I was too full to even try it. I bet this would have been a five if we had gone for dinner and been seated in the main restaurant.

My family and I came here for lunch today. The crab sandwich was $25 for 5 pieces of crab on a roll and shredded lettuce. We had to open the sandwich to find the crab. Some of the menu items were over $40. They served a heavy plate of pasta on paper plates. I’ve never eaten at a sit down restaurant who serves on paper plates. Our cups were small plastic throw away cups with plastic forks. It’s safe to say that I will not be back. The food didn’t taste well and the experience wasn’t the best.

Great little resturant service was awesome and the food was fast and fresh. Best fish and chips we’ve had in Charleston, will definitely be back yum yum!

So good that I visited 2 days in a row. The seafood is local and fresh. Bay shrimp cocktail was simple with a tasty cocktail sauce. Local Cod Fish and Chips, Panko crusted. Note that the F&C and other fried goodies come out FAST = Flash fried not bathing in oil. Service is great, welcomed my pup on the patio.

Very disappointing! I love razor clams when they’re prepared correctly. I have a couple spots in our north coast that I’ve been going to for years. Always good. This spot was recommended to me by staff at my hotel. The razor clams were terrible. They weren’t cleaned very well and we’re extremely Sandy/gritty and chewy. They were served me on a paper plate with a plastic fork for an outrageously high price.

The food is always good here. The prices have gone up and the dining experience is outside and not with a view. We had all our beverages served in paper cups. Food came on styrofoam plates and bowls. We had to wrangle the plastic utensils out of plastic bags. For the price of the food and the fast food experience I’ll not come back at least not for lunch.

Great fish and service. If I had known the restaurant used Styrofoam, plastic utensils, and disposable everything for sit-down meals, I would have passed on this for sure. As someone who loves the ocean and seafood, limiting plastic trash and styrofoam that end up in our waterways is important to me. Otherwise, staff were nice and had outdoor seating. Pet friendly.

Do not come here before 4:00 if you plan to enjoy the view and eat your food on actual plates with silverware. We were served everything down to the water in plastic and styrofoam dishes. The crab salad? Crab on lettuce in a Tupperware take out dish. Clam chowder? Styrofoam cup. Forks and spoons? Plastic wrapped plastic. For $12.95, I expected the crab cocktail to at least be served on a plate or in a bowl. The dining room is closed before 4:00, so there is only a view of the parking lot from a picnic table under corrugated plastic roofing. I want to say the food was good. But it’s hard to muster when the bill came out to $90 for two appetizers, a cup of chowder and an entree served in plastic and styrofoam. Just, do better Portside.

The food was overpriced. It had no flavor, and the fried fish was full of oil. The restaurant needs to be updated. The server was very nice.
