Day visitors are the only reason this place exists. Few people go here twice. There are pages and pages of 1 star reviews. There are 89 total reviews. 33 of them are 1 star. Here’s one reason why. I live in the area and have visited this embarrassment a handful of times. Eating here is a mistake, but beer is beer so… I’ve tested this scenario three times over the past few months so the “mistake excuse” doesn’t work any more. Today: On the menu a Domestic Beer is and has been priced at $4.75. The cashier always rings it up at $5.75. Today when I inquired with test subject #3 she said, “it no matter what it say, it matter what “it” say.” “It” means the cash register. The only right thing to say here is, “I’m sorry, I’ll charge you $4.75 and fix the menu right away.” Catching her little trick, and forcing her to question her ethics, she choose to shush me aside and ask for the next person in line. I sat on a bench and watched her do it time and time and time again. The service is slop. The ability to communicate is slop. The friendliness is slop. The attitude is slop. The quality is slop. And they are knowingly advertising the wrong price – – which is illegal.

Cajun boil is salty and super buttery. Served with rice, which makes it better but not sure if it’s worth $50. Enough for 2-3 people. Food took a while to be served…

Kids liked their hot dogs and fried butterflied shrimp. Fried fish was ok.

Service was good, but was a line/little slow

Came here on a Tuesday at lunch hour and it wasn’t too busy yet. Ordered the Portside Cajun boil and the fish plate. The seafood boil was very salty and greasy. There was no hint of Cajun anything in the flavors and the sausage was overcooked. Portion wise it was satisfactory. The fish was like any other fish stick on the freezer aisle and the coleslaw was disgusting and bland. As for service the female with the crew cut was rude from the start. Attitude was just as nasty as the food.

It’s outside seating on the pier. I was hoping for fresh seafood. It just seemed like Gordon’s frozen fish and shrimp for $14. The fries were hot and the fish/shrimp was cooked hard like someone doesn’t like seafood. Probably will pass next time.

The food was good! The fried shrimp were tasty, the clam chowder bowl was huge and tasted really good, and the onion rings were well made! Some other reviews of this place said it was slow but we got our food pretty fast and the service was good! We were there on a Saturday night and it was really busy but we only waited maybe 10 minutes. Overall a really good place to eat and visit! Head across the street for a tasty churro too!

Sure it is a more basic place but if you can look past that they got some great tasting food.
It is nice for people watching and you can hear the live music from right across.
I had the Cajun Shrimp plate. It is very well seasoned, perfectly cooked and plenty of food. It comes with tasty garlic bread and the large tap beer was the Biggest I have ever received.
Literally filled to the brim! (I already drank some in the picture). Left very happy

Giant fish market. Buy your fish, lobster, crab, sea urchin, etc and it can be cooked for you. Also have alcohol for sale. Atmosphere is great. I purchased a platter of shrimp and fish. It was fresh and good but not amazing!

This was a waste of money. Ordered the chicken sandwich, hotdog, and nachos. Took 30 minutes, and the image is the chicken patty. Dry and flavorless could bang it on the table and it wouldn’t move. Fries were mediocre and cold, nachos took that long only to have cold cheese and the hotdog was just decent. Don’t recommend this place

Average food for selection & taste. Open seating is nice to enjoy the beach pier atmosphere. Service was poor due to a missed order with no apology & snippy staff.

Always a good choice on Redondo Beach Pier. Fish and chips, hamburger and cheesesteak sandwich.
