Im a new resident of Hartford, so I’m in search of good food. Uber Eats suggested this place so I took a chance. Today is my birthday and I all wanted Penne alla Vodka with chicken. The dish was not to my satisfaction. The chicken had no flavor, no trace of basic salt or pepper and it was overcooked. The vodka sauce was okay, but not enough sauce as the penne still looked dry. The penne was cooked perfectly. I was more impressed with the bread than the actual dish.

Portofino’s in Berlin is classic old school charm. From the interior design to the Italian music playing.. was all fantastic! Service was fast but sternly, serious type of friendly. Fried mozzarella is ok, a small serving size. It tastes fresh and the sauce is really good with it. Buffalo wings had just the right amount of sauce but could have been cooked a bit longer to get more crispy. Chicken Parmigiana is thin cut and a decent serving size. Gnocchi is a big bowl cooked correctly with a nice sauce. All food items were served hot which was great. Would return again.

Very good place to go for Italian food. It has a nice atmosphere. Their staff does a Great job. The prices here are decent. The owner of this fine establishment is very involved and interacts with customers.
You can get reservations, but if not, the seem like they do their best to accommodate people. During Covid, the had an outdoor area that was somewhat of a temporary set up, but now it looks like it is in a different area and looks to be more permanent.

We had the chicken parm and the pork chop special. Both were very good. Marinara was excellent. Atmosphere & presentation are lacking a bit, but it seems that they know how to prepare a good Italian meal. Only other critique is that the salads were a bit tired looking. I would recommend for casual Italian cuisine.

I have been dining here for years and even get take-out occasionally. The meals are tasty and the portions are very large. I recommend the food and drinks here! I have also seen room rentals for events and have personally been to a Bridal Shower here and it was awesome as well.

The meatballs on point, oil and garlic amazing. The bread not fresh but palatable. My fiance Ribeye while very pricey absolutely out of this world. But my meal was terrible. Eggplant sliced so thin it was undetectable just a plate of bread crumbs baked with thick red sauce and cheese. Suppose to be parmesan but a slice of melted cheese on top. This was the second try. First order was an order of Eggplant Rollitini. The prosciutto was so thick I couldn’t slice an the dish was so salty and floating in sauce i just could not eat it I would say stay clear of Eggplant dishes all together. The sad part. Is i wasn’t offered and compensation. I could not eat the meal. Even if it wasn’t a monetary sitiation a dessert would have been nice. Drinks were offered i declined. We ordered 1 NA beer. And i stated we do not drink. So basically a 22oz ribeye steak dinner with meatball appetizer cost us. 130.00. I used to love this restaurant. We might try again. The service was very good.
