My wife and I were looking for someplace new to try and I asked Google to give me some ideas. Our waiter was excellent. One of the little details that I loved was the water pitcher he chose complimented my wife’s outfit. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. We look forward to coming back again.

Had a lovely dinner here! Small space but the tables are not crowded together and the staff was so friendly and pleasant. All the food was delicious! We had calamari, spaghetti and clams, tomahawk steak special, and the tiramisu! Everything was cooked perfectly so flavorful and presentation was awesome too! Seriously so good! Thankful for finding this place!

Our company, Century 21 Advantage Gold – South Philly office have been hosting our annual holiday dinner at this restaurant for the past several years. It had enough seatings to accommodate our big group of attendees. There is plenty of parking in their lot. The service is excellent! The staffs are very attentive and always go around our table to ensure our water is filled and our BYOB bottle of wines are served to everyone at the party. The food is also very good! It has never let us down, hence we have been booking this place for several years already. The atmosphere & decor of the restaurant are lovely. Overall, we always had a good time celebrating together during this holiday dinner event.

Heard great reviews about this place and thought to give it a try so, Hubs and I went today 1/11/2026 at 6pm .. walked inside and it was ABSOLUTELY DEADDDDD inside (maybe 3 employees and us 2).. we ordered apps and entree
CALAMARI – under fried too rubbery, and the marinara sauce had no seasonings
MUSSELS -mediocre dipping sauce, smelt like turtle tank water
My entree was Salmon served with some herbs. It actually was good semi crispy.
And we ordered 2 Pepsi sodas which I believe were off brand due to the after taste…
Check comes which was $84 (with the tax) so I give a $100 bill. As I am walking out the door an employee say to me “oh I don’t think this is a real bill” UMM EXCUSE ME SIR??? The audacity of that was diabolical! But luckily I had smaller bills and I still have $100. But I should have just took my tip back being that my $100 bill was supposedly counterfeit!! RED FLAG. WE WILL NEVEEEEERRR DINE AT THAT PLACE AGAIN. A 4.7 STAR establishment like that wouldve had a counterfeit machine which would tell them if it were fake or not. And also if you’ve been around money you can feel the realness of a legit bill.

This mom and pop restaurant is a hidden gem that more people need to know about!!!
We recently hosted our engagement party at Portobello Cafe. It was nothing short of a major hit with raving compliments from all of our guests on the food, the friendliness of all the staff, and the intimate atmosphere!! Its been 3 days and I’m still hearing how great of a time it was, and how much everyone loved the location!!! Tony, the owner, was amazing to work with and so kind and understanding of many obstacles throughout or planning process – from last minute RSVP’s and guest list changes up until the day of, to allowing us to completely decorate the place!! We loved that it was BYOB and we could bring our choice of alcoholic beverages that we thought most of our guests would enjoy best. We had about roughly 50 guests, which in the beginning when everyone was standing in the middle, it was a bit tight squeezed, but once everyone sat down and figured out their own spaces to stand and mingle, it was perfect!
Do NOT miss out on this little place that has some of the best food that us and our guests have ever eaten! (And yes, we were told that multiple times!)

Such a warm atmosphere, the waiters are attentive, the food is phenomenal, the diners are friendly, the owner Tony is an amazing restauranteur. Tony knows how to make everyone feel at home. He sincerely cares about your experience. Chef Rosario is a hidden gem in DELCO that blesses every dish he cooks. I highly recommend the Branzino filleted table-side or the filet! Afterwards try their Tiramisu and have an espresso! You will feel right at home! Definitely a dine in type of restaurant or enjoy the outside patio during the summer. Deliveries are not ready yet but…. deliveries coming soon! Buon Appetito!
Tell them that Silvio sent you.

We were seated promptly. The food was very good. It is BYOB . Plenty of parking in the rear of the cafe.

Best penne vodka ever — it comes with crab meat and it’s chef’s kiss. Fried mozz and calamari are fresh and perfectly breaded. Lobster ravioli is always superior — easily could eat two plates! And they had an arugula salad with goat cheese + lemon on it as a special. We’ve been at least 5 times and it’s fabulous every single time.
