Came for dinner and ended up staying for the view. The city lights alone are worth showing up for. Absolutely stunning. If you can time it right and watch the skyline shift from daylight to evening glow, do it. It feels cinematic.
The seafood was fresh, flavorful, and plated beautifully. Everything tasted clean and well balanced. The drinks were strong enough to make you smile but smooth enough to sip slowly while staring out at the skyline like you’re the main character. Our waiter was incredibly informative and almost overly nice in the best way possible. He knew the menu inside and out and made thoughtful suggestions without hovering. The attentiveness felt intentional and welcoming, which elevated the entire evening.
Pro tip: park at the U.S. Bancorp Tower Garage across the street. It’s less than a one minute walk and makes the whole experience seamless.

Portland City Grill did not disappoint! Absolutely everything was perfect with the views of the city with the mountains resting behind. OH and the FOOD and drinks- absolutely the delicious. The best Chilean Sea Bass I’ve ever had. Our waiter, Jay was AMAZING!

There for New Years Eve and birthday. The space, lighting and atmosphere was very elegant. The view from our window table was gorgeous, especially with a view of the river.
The food was delicious and all the flavors were wonderful. The drinks were great and the wine recommended paired extremely well with dinner.
This is a more expensive experience, but you’re paying for a special night. If can afford or splurge a bit, then highly recommend.

Portland City Grill is an absolutely fantastic dining experience and one of the best spots in Portland. The views alone are worth the visit—high above the city with stunning panoramic scenery that makes any meal feel special.
The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable, perfect for a date night, celebration, or just a nice evening out. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with a great variety of options to choose from. Everything we tried was flavorful and well prepared.
Service was excellent as well—attentive, professional, and friendly without feeling rushed. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great food and drinks, and take in an unforgettable view.

This restaurant was a truly exciting experience. It was very “out of the ordinary” and we had a wonderful time. The service was exceptional; we couldn’t have asked for a better server. The ambience was electric; everyone was excited to be there and having such a good time. The menu had a wide variety of items with prices for every budget so that anyone can enjoy eating there. I will say that the beet salad was exquisite. However, the lobster bisque tasted as if the roux was scorched and the clam chowder was very bland. The crab cakes with chorizo was not only an uncomplimentary combination but the chorizo was burned. I will reiterate that we had a very positive and memorable experience, and I would do it all over again, but the food just wasn’t up to the standards I expect for a restaurant of this caliber. I would definitely give it another shot if I didn’t live 2500 miles away. The kitchen staff may have just been having a bad day.

We came here for Christmas and everyone had a good time. The staff is polite and friendly. Hank served our table today. I was pretty impressed with him He gave me a grasshopper and I thought it was kind of watery and he asked me why I wasn’t drinking it and I told him why and he fixed it free of charge. He was very attentive very kind. Everyone likes their cheesecake. Everyone like the clean ballet. And my son enjoyed his chocolate flourless tortellini. We all enjoyed our clam chowder. My husband and I enjoyed our lamb. My youngest son flight is lobster quite a bit. My daughter says that she likes the salmon but she wouldn’t order it again. My second eldest got the ribs he said he didn’t care for them much. But we did have a great time and we got excellent service. We also had a wonderful view of the river.

Had our 1st anniversary here. The atmosphere and the view was spectacular.
The foods were outstanding. We had pan seared Chilean sea bass and braised short ribs. The service was attentive and explained very well when questioned.
If there was any downside, id said the bread didn’t come warm.
Solid 4.5 ⭐️

My husband and I came here for our 23rd Anniversary. We arrived at 4:15 and proceeded to take the elevator in a downtown office building to the 30th floor. Stepping out into the restaurant was quite a view! We were promptly seated at a table by the window, as requested and ordered our drinks. The service was quick to respond so we ordered our appetizers. We had the beef carpaccio and the Thai brussel sprouts. I also ordered the beet salad and my husband the apple Gorgonzola salad. For mains I ordered the jambalaya and he had deer. Honestly, the food was above average as was the service. The brussel sprouts had a really good unique flavor, a bit on the greasy side, both salads were good, the beet had diced red and yellow beets with soft goat cheese on the side. The beef carpaccio neither of us cared for. It had some sort of mayonnaise on it which was not tasty. My jambalaya was quite good with rockfish and very spicy. My husband liked his deer, me, not so much because it tasted gamey. Preparation for deer is everything and I had it in Austria where it’s the absolute best! We were both full so we didn’t order dessert, but they brought us a complimentary piece of red velvet cake and it tasted like a sweet brick. Not good at all. Tasted like bad store bought cake. Overall I’d give this restaurant a thumbs up but not for someone who’s very discriminating. The view is the best attribute to this restaurant.

We ate after more than 5 years . Service and food were very good. We were there to celebrate birhtday and made reservations for window sitting but was told 45 minutes additinal wait despite reaching there on reserved time(later we noticed, there were multiple availability for window seats but we didn’t get. Not sure if we need special reach in hotel staff or extra payment for window sitting as it was not first come first serve ). I am not sure if I will try this place for special occasion dinning with reservation but may be for regular formal dinning.

I normally love coming here to celebrate birthdays. Tonight was my boyfriend’s birthday. We were meeting his mom and sister for a table reservation. His mom was waiting for us at the bar and we decided to join her to grab our drinks. I am 23 and pregnant (if that matters) I sat down at the bar and the bartender was extremely rude telling our party “MINORS CANT SIT AT THE BAR” obnoxiously without even asking for my ID or if I was of age FIRST. She did take my mocktail off the tab, but there wasn’t a genuine apology, just an excuse that it’s been happening a lot where minors try and sit at the bar around the holidays.
We sat down at our table and were greeted by our server, Erika. She was great but disappeared after the food was served so we couldn’t communicate to her right away that my boyfriend got the wrong cut of meat. The manager (I think?) was gracious and paid for his meal after we found and talked with another server about 15 minutes into our meals. We boxed it up to take it home because the vibes from tonight were not it.
Our glasses and silverware were covered in a crazy amount of water marks which doesn’t seem appealing for an upscale restaurant you’re paying $70+ a person for!
I miss the old Portland City Grill.
