Gnocchi decent, Pesto Cream Sauce not so good, pizza underwhelming, Pumpkin tiramisu was good.

First taste of their bread sticks is a delicious clue to the food they serve here- we ordered the lobster bisque- incredible with nice chunks of lobster, olive oil pizza- light flavor combination without cheese, and Mediterranean- amazing flavor, amazing bread! Will certainly come here again!

I stopped by this hidden gem today 9/25/24 by chance. I spent 65.00 and purchased a large BBQ pizza, Alfredo, Lasagna, side salad, soup which both were included, and a side of meatballs. I love Italian food and so does my family. This place is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve had in North County. Everything was delicious. I had to add some seasonings to the Alfredo but everything pleased my family to our core and it wasn’t overly expensive. I couldn’t even wait to dig into the meatballs as you can see from the pictures I’ve uploaded. Restaurants tend to over charge making it hard to eat out but this is worth every dime. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for your service and great quality food. See you again soon!!

The sauce!! Mmm…. ordered a gluten-free pie with garlic, spinach, feta, artichoke, & tomatoes & a meatball sub with added bell peppers and mushrooms. My wife loved the pizza. Said it was the BEST gf pizza she’s had (have tried loads). The meatball sub was dang near perfect, though I’d prefer the meatballs cooked just a bit more and pan seared for a nice bit of crust. The balls were smashed, which evened the sub bites (no bites of just bread after getting a whole ball in one bite). Love the idea & and I will be doing it from now on at home as well. Wouldn’t be surprised if they make the hoagies for the subs. Lovely buttery roll, though, did start falling apart towards the end. I enjoyed just as much with a fork, though again the meatballs may have been just a bit undercooked/mushy. We added just a bit of parm and loved everything. We complimented on the sauce and was told, “My mamma makes it every day!” Seriously loved this place and want to be back ASAP to try some traditional Italian fare. Definitely recommend!

As we were driving in the area for work we passed by this little Italian spot which seemed to be in the middle of small town USA. I was like, we need to turn around and try that spot. Probably the best decision we made that day. It’s a Hispanic family that owns it and let me say, being Italian and knowing Italian food, Portinos is on point and so justice to Italian cuisine with a little bit of their twist to it. The flavors are dynamic in smell and taste. I went with a simple capellini pasta with sauce and meats balls with a side of sausages as pictured in my review. My co-worker ordered an Alfredo sauce mixed with a red sauce topped with sausages. Very different taste profiles. I chose to keep it simple and let the sauce speak authenticity. Let me say Portinos didn’t disappoint! The sauce is fantastic! Not overly acidic at all and well balanced in flavor. I was impressed with how they played their food. Very happy with this experience. Happy eating!!

We high-tailed it out of the Nates Butt Farm after seeing how ridiculously crowded it was and ended up here for some food. I was pleasantly surprised in how good and fresh the food was! I also asked if they could make my beer a michelada and it was the best michelada ever. Thanks!

Very pleasant surprise from this little local restaurant that does a booming take out business. Portions we’re HUGE and reasonably priced. We all loved our food and all took leftovers home. If you order a calzone, get a SMALL or plan to have several friends help you.

I should of taking pictures but…we were hungry, and food did not disappoint. We had a Caprese salad for appetizer, then we order Baked Ziti and Aurora (marinara and Alfredo sauce mixed together )sauce Fettuccine. Food was delicious, served quickly with fresh garlic sticks. We for sure come back again next time we’re around this area. totally recommend!!

The staff are very nice and sweet. But the food is very plain with no flavor. The bread sticks taste like they were not fresh. We kept seeing people get pizza so maybe their pizza is better. Would be come back? Probably not. But loved there customer service.
