Everyone was very nice. I was disappointed that they didn’t have red sauce for the Italian Beef sandwiches though. The Italian Beef sandwich was good but could have used more green peppers. Next time I will get more aus jus to make it soggier. Also the aus jus was just a little different than the Vienna Beef Chicago style but it was pretty good. The Chicago dog was a real Chicago Dog.

First time trying this new restaurant in Middleton. Hamburger was traditional and well cooked. Chili dog had a good flavor and dig had a nice crisp texture. The only disappointment was the signature Italian sub. Missing something. Will need to try different toppings to get it down.

Had a nice outing with the family at the soft opening in Middleton. Terrific staff, very friendly, polite and helpful. I’m sure they had extra staff in for the opening but they all seemed to work well together and provided fast and friendly service!
The food was good. Limited options for the soft opening. One kiddo had the hot dog, which had good flavor, delicious fries (w/ cheese sauce). Definitely added on the cheese sauce for dipping. Fries were crispy one the outside yet fluffy on the inside. Another kiddo had a cheeseburger w/fries. Adults had a cheeseburger w/fries and the other had the Italian Beef sandwich w/fries. For the soft opening we could not or were not offered to get it wet or dunked. Not sure if that will be a thing at this location. We will go back and update this post.
And you definitely have to try some desserts. The chocolate cake was excellent.
The interior is clean, modern, but on point for Portillo’s theme amd the Villages area. Smaller area inside but they do have some additional tables outside by the splashpad.
They have touchscreen order kiosks or walk up registers. They even have Portillo’s merch and swag!
We will 100% return for more options, once everyone gets their fair share of it. Its been crazy busy around dinnertime since the grand opening. It will be a great place to grab a dessert or shake when the town center events start to come alive.
Update: we went again and tried the breed chicken sandwich (which was amazing) and the chopped salad (which was not the best, maybe a 2.5). Chicken pieces in the chopped salad were a bit dry, no gorgonzola was no where to be found , tomatoes were past their prime, but the dressing was delicious. It was a little weird addition with the diced pasta mixed in.
Skip the salad, go for the chicken sandwich!
Lastly, we shared the Onion Rings , because we got them free with the TS/TK engagement promotion. Onion Rings are crunchy and delicious! If you are not part of the perks program, definitely sign up. There are so many free items and benefits! Worth it if you plan to frequent often.

Order in or get it to go! I always have a great experience here. I go for lunch multiples times throughout the month. I love the kiosks that allow me to take my time to order and customize my chicken sandwich exactly how I want it. I highly recommend!!

Such an awesome addition to Middleton and the Eastport area of the Villages! Had the burger, fries, drink and chocolate cake and everything was delicious! Employees were excited and super friendly and the restaurant has a lot of seating space and it’s decorated perfectly for the Villages! Will probably be there once a week. 🙂

I ordered a 2 large Italian Beef sandwiches, 1 with added cheese. I’m originally from IL so I’m very familiar with this restaurant. I was excited to see there was one within 2 hours of my location. I ordered pick up for dinner. I did not look at my sandwiches prior to leaving. Never have before. Well they were so dry with no juice on them. My one with cheese that I paid extra for had little to none. I did take pictures. So 1 make sure your order is right before leaving 2 I guess at this place you need to order the awjuice on the side or pay for extra to get a REGULAR Italian Beef. Also by the one there is a lot of construction going on so GPS directions aren’t exactly correct since roads are closed around it.

We were so excited to try this place! We love a good Chicago Dog and this a great one. Met some folks the other day that said they “HEARD” it was pricey… this is false, false, FALSE narrative. They also serve canned beer for $3 (Domestic and $4 (Premium)

I had heard a lot about Portillo’s from social media and I was Looking to give it a Try.
First off We made the mistake of going at 3:15 and the Local highschool had just let out so there were about 50 teenagers All over and the noise was very loud.And You had to use a Kiosk which is not My Most favorite instrument to operate.
After ordering My food I had to wait about 5 minutes but My friend was having problems with the Kiosk so I had to assist him after he got his food we found a seat.I have to admit that I didn’t order what I wanted,I got a Long bun with sliced meat.No sauce just meat and a roll . Very dry.
