I have never been to a Portillo’s before but I was pleasantly surprised with my recent visit. This Chicago-style street food restaurant is fantastic! I ordered the Char Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage and it was simply amazing. The flavor combinations were spot on and absolutely delicious. The French fries were cooked to perfection, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Everything came out quickly, and the workers were both friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.
I also really enjoyed the atmosphere here. The dining room is huge and the vibe made me feel like I had stepped out of town and into an authentic Chicago street food spot. Overall, this place nails it with great food, fast service, and a fun environment. I can’t wait to come back and bring the whole family!

I’ve never been inside a Portillos but I ordered it on DoorDash. Two hot dogs for $16 w delivery fees isn’t bad. The plant based garden dog is pretty good but the relish I had them add is what prompted this review bc it’s so artificially green, I didn’t finish the hot dog. The chili dog was really good, no notes.

This was my first time trying out Portillo’s. And I have to say it was amazing. My wife and I got the 9.99 burger combo which was definitely a good deal. And the food was fresh and piping hot! Would definitely recommend! And the staff is really nice and keeps the place in pristine shape!

We’re from Chicago, so no strangers to Portillo’s. Love their Italian beefs, but the prices keep going up and the size goes down.
It cost $31 for 2 combo meals (one of them hot dogs, so a bit less), regular size—no upgrades. The Italian beefs are looking kind of pitiful now: where’s the beef??

Italian Combo = to die for! Every single item we ordered was great. There were seven of us and yes my wallet hurt, lol but it was well worth it. Staff was professional and the restaurant was very clean. Definitely a family friendly place.

Grew up with Portillos in Elmhurst Il, although now franchised they have done a good job with maintaining the original food quality and taste – still a great beef!
The service in this location wasn’t Portillos quality or expectation. They perfected the ordering and delivery with the white bags at the counter and the drive through but now have gone to a POS with receipts, it’s not better or faster.
PS still the best chocolate cake you can buy.

Place is very clean, even at rush hour. Ample seating and convenient for those with special needs or with kids.
The signature roast beef melts in your mouth. We also had the roast beef with sausage which was tasty with a little zest.
Finished with the chocolate cake that pretty much melts in your mouth. Ample and delicious frosting.
Self serve cola soda station is convenient.
Everything well stocked.
A few various items offered like caps, lip balm, bread, buns and sauces.

It’s gotten so expensive. A simple bratwurst shouldn’t be $10 with no toppings . My food was cold even when I arrived exactly at my scheduled pickup time . The mustard was weird and gross. The shake was great but also double the price of other chain restaurants. . My friend’s chilli dog had toppings while mine , same price, couldn’t even have onions for free.
