The cashier that took my order and the one that handed my order to me at the drive through window were extremely polite and professional. The food is the problem it’s never consistent. Fresh beef must cook in the beef juice to obtain flavor not put in and used immediately it’s tasteless and stop pouring salt on the fries, there not even edible like this. Horrible, just upsetting for me. I spent $19.00 for the meal and deserve the true experience portillo’s is known for. ☹️

This was our first Portillo’s experience and it did not disappoint!! We are absolutely addicted now. We stopped on the way to vacation and just had to stop on our way back home as well. The food is amazing and very good sized servings especially for the price. We tried the popular items and would definitely recommend the beef and cheddar croissant, onion rings, and chocolate cake shake although the eclair cake was amazing as well.

Service was great. The counter person was patient and gave suggestions as we were deciding. The kitchen looked tidy and organized and the people were friendly. Veggie dogs were excellent, the bun was fresh and soft and toppings were on point. The fries were GREAT! Hot, crisp, fresh, well seasoned. Second time we’ve stopped at this location. Dining room had a bit of wear and tear, but tables and floors were clean. A great stop when you land at O’Hare for a quick taste of Chicago.

First time coming to Portillo’s. My wife and I just drove up from Florida and one of my employees has been recommending this place for years. It did not disappoint. I got the Italian beef, my wife got a Chicago style hotdog, we got some onion rings. Everything was delicious. The service here was pretty good too. The girl at the front, Carissa, was very nice and helpful. We told her we were first timers and she stepped us through the menu. It was definitely nice to come here instead of going to someplace where we could get it at home. The cool part is, they are starting to open more of these there in Florida. Unfortunately, not one too close to me yet, the closest is about a 40 minute ride, but I will definitely check the one out in Saint Pete if we’re ever up that way

Im from El Paso, TX and first time trying this restaurant. Wow, delicious food and the atmosphere is amazing. The young female taking our order was ok but can do a bit better on customer service. But when we mentioned we were from out of town she changed her demeanor.

Staff needs educated about food allergies and frankly the menu needs to be labeled. I asked if they had a gluten free bun, the gal asked and they didnt. No big. I ordered ribs because everywhere else in the world that’s gluten free. Caught a glimpse of the bbq sauce label and it has wheat and gluten on it. Jump on the website and wheat is a listed allergen on the ribs. If someone asks for a gluten free bun that should raise a red flag to guide them on ordering. She didnt even punch in the order right. I spent $50 bucks and it was not worth it.
