First time ever trying this chain. Got a classic Portillo hit dog and their Italian steak sandwich with cheese and peppers. Both were AMAZINGLY flavorful and fresh. Heard from many friends over the years who lived in Chicago how good this chain was and today I became a believer. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. We just did drive through today but next time we are in Clermont will definitely come back and eat inside

Over priced. For extras. I got the sweet & hot peppers added to my Italian beef & sausage (9.69). Barely anything on it for what I paid. .98 per topping, so $1.98. for which I didn’t even taste the sweet pepper. See pic. I should have gotten what my husband got, the Maxwell. Plus cheaper. And the Onions so not worth the price to quantity ratio. Got Large $5.19. once in a long while place to visit okay.

Two stars- the hotdogs have issues with the casing being too thick. I used to go to the one in Chicago all the time and they were perfect. Ironically the ones in Dallas have this same casing problem.
Their milkshake machine was also said to be down. Felt like I was in McDonalds trying to order a milkshake.
Questionable on if Id return which is weird because I loved the one in Chicago but between the casing and the lack of milkshake- whats the point?

I don’t know… Maybe because I’m from the south, but this was some of the worst food I’ve ever had. I honestly mean no offense to where this food originates, just an opinion to possibly help other folks from the south. Paid nearly $20 for an italian steak. Added cheese and peppers. Bland gray meat and pickled carrots and no cheese to even taste. Very off putting and I’m a human garbage disposal and I couldn’t eat it. Bread was decent but did not make up for the pure lack of quality and flavor. Maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be but definitely not my thing. Even if it was excellent, the price point is still a bit steep for me.

Establishment is nice looking. Digging the vibes. Food choices were good had a lot of good options. Hospitality was on point. My only complaint is soggy bread, but other than that it was on point. Great place, will say I look forward to coming back indeed.

This place never fails. The food is always fresh and hot, the restaurant is clean and spacious and the staff is friendly.
You can order from one of 3 kiosks or you can go to a register for personal service. I have had the burger as well as the fish sandwich. The fish sandwich had that extra something that gave it some pizazz.
My son always gets the chili cheese dog and has never had a bad one.

Tried the burger at Portillo’s and it was amazing! Juicy beef, crispy bacon, onion rings, and fresh red onions >> all perfectly balanced. The smoky BBQ flavor and soft bun made it even better. Big, flavorful, and totally worth it!

Always get a Italian beef with sweet peppers, cup of cheese sauce, fries and this time I ordered the salted caramel shake! It was delicious It was a beautiful day so we sat outside.
