Neat little place that was suggested to me by a local. I had the beef hoagie and fries. The beef was tender and flavorful. Standard fare fries. The spiced cake was also good and very thick. The decor of the place is whimsical rustic.

So for the 4th time in six months I have used the Portillo App to order dessert or shakes that have not been included in my delivery. Past times the store said they would credit me back and it never came through. I have contacted corporate and they have sent me coupon codes that didn’t work!
This time the driver tells me they didn’t give him a shake with the order. I call the store and they tell me that it is a Uber issue even though I used the Portillo sponsored App. When you subcontract with another company to do your business you are still responsible. We have been Portillo customers since Dick Portillo had his little trailer hot dog stand, this is NOT how he did business!!!!

Out of all the “fast food” options, this is not bad. Compared to some of the burgers out there, this is a pretty solid choice if you are looking for something cheap and cheerful…and massive. I’m not the biggest fan of the chips, I prefer the thinner ones but they are generally good. Solid fast food choice. It also holds a special place in my heart because it was the first Chicago style dog I had, 12 hours into moving to Chicagoland so there is that!

We enjoy the food. Made to order, pretty quick, good portion size. Great they have plant-based hotdogs. And, of course, their signature chocolate cake. Service a little slower than usual this visit. Kiosks available to order, but we prefer going to the counter and taking to an person. Ample free parking. Drive thru avaliable. Affordable price level. Staff keeps the tables clean and bussed.

The worst Portillo‘s in Illinois OK I won’t be so overdramatic but it’s the worst one. I’ve been to the food is always still. The service is Lame no one says thank you have a nice day. My garden dog was terrible. It tasted like plastic. My cheese fries were cold, Will cheese and fries. They had me wait 10 minutes for my order just to receive cold food. It’s the third time I’ve been there. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, but they fell every time. Even the chocolate cake is still. They really need to get it together at this location sadly, I literally live five minutes away. Now I have to drive 20 minutes to get to the next nearest Portillo’s.

I had a burger the last time we went. The portion was reasonable for the price. The food is very salty. I would not recommend the restaurant because it. The service is prompt and somewhat entertaining. The atmosphere is superficially charming, but loud. I don’t eat here more than once or twice a year.

Updating my review from 2 stars to 5. Food was incredible today but it all started with the gentleman that took my wife and I order. Patient, friendly and funny. Ty!!!

They did kind of mess up my order, I believe, due to an inexperienced new employee. This visit was still a good one. The atmosphere at Portillos is always fun. The food was good, but I believe they changed suppliers and or ownership. We will of course go again, but I will be more clear on my order!

First time ordering a cheeseburger. It was good but I’ll stick to the Chicago hot dog. Dipped Italian beef also is a great choice. The decor is cool in this location. The park lot is another story, way to small. Only one way out, inconvenient when busy.
