I am a vegetarian and ordered the chop salad with no meat through the drive-thru. I ate part of the salad before hitting an unusual taste and spat out a few pieces of chicken. I’ve been a vegetarian most of my life and feel physically sick about eating meat. They told me that I needed to get drive back out in the night to return the salad in order for them to remedy their mistake and be given a new salad. When I returned the salad, they re-entered the correct order without meat into the register and insisted that I double check it to confirm that the order was right. I felt like this wasn’t necessary and suggested I had just failed to order correctly the first time..There was no apology at any point and I was left feeling gross and nauseous 🙁 I don’t think I even want to eat the new salad, I still feel so awful about eating the meat in the first meal. The last time I was mistakenly fed meat was maybe 10 years ago, so I want to emphasize that this isn’t a routine occurrence. It’s huge deal for me, I felt a lot of distress about it, and I don’t believe that they really saw it as an issue.

So I never really use the drive-thru at this location simply because our family loves going in and enjoying the atmosphere. They are quick and accurate with your order and it is just such a fun quick family dinner. Great people, great place and so much fun to be had here.

Although they have enough space for people to dine in, they don’t have the management skills to handle many customers. Everyone looks busy but low efficiency. The food is delivered slowly. And the sausage is burned. Don’t come when you see many customers already there.

Italian Beef and Cheese fries are so.good!!! And the chopped salad with mix shredded cheese instead of gorgonzola!! Staff is always nice and bathrooms and tables are always clean!

After a long pause because of poor food quality, I mistakenly returned for dinner. Surprisingly, we were the only customers at @4:40. Even the order guy at the window remarked, they’ve been slow lately. A 5 to 6 minute drive home, and the burgers were COLD! EVEN IF I ATE IN THE RESTAURANT THAT FOOD COULDN’T HAVE BEEN HOT. I’m so sad what Portillo’s has become. I’ve eaten at this location since day one and probably will never again.

This a great portillos location been going here for long time now. I don’t have to say because we all know how amazing their food is. The restaurant itself is very clean lots of staff to keep busy restaurant moving. Like all portillos locations the drive thru is long wait at dinner time but still organized well with friendly staff outside. Would recommend this restaurant.

Literally 70% of the time I go to this location they mess up my order. This time I got a large ball of blue cheese, think golf ball size, and the beef I asked for baptized was completely dry. They even confirmed it when handing me the bag. At this point it’s just ridiculous. I understand things can get crazy, but this time I got my food at 9pm when it wasn’t even busy. People were nice though

I would give Portillo’s, in this suburb of Chicago, a 3.5. The delivery was quick. The homemade chicken noodle soup was outstanding. The salad was ok. Kens dressing, one of my favorites, helps any salad imo.
