Delicious, hot and fresh chicken. I haven’t had a bad experience yet.The chicken is always hot, and fresh, Never too greasy as you would expect fried chicken to be. The batter that they use for their chicken is good, not overly crunchy. Their Cole slaw is phenomenal. They offer two sauces of your choice (ranch, honey mustard, blue cheese and hot sauce ). The hot sauce they use is one of the best I’ve had.Your dinner meal comes with a dinner roll. They also sell deserts.
There is limited seating inside and a decent sized parking lot that they share with the two neighboring businesses. Friendly staff. The pricing is reasonable, comparable to other chicken places.

This place has remained a staple for southern style fried chicken for years.
Nothing crazy or different. Just some of the better textbook fried chicken you can get in STL.
I prefer the spicy breading over the normal one but both are spectacular. 8.6-8.1 clucks respectively.

Your establishment is in a busy shopping area. When arriving at 6:47 pm I should have been able to take 15 minutes to enjoy a quick chicken dinner before running my additional errands in the area and without having to eat in my car. The young girls at the counter were NOT accommodating and was very quick to say UNFORTUNATELY the dining area is CLOSED. Over an hour BEFORE actual closing time? For a very small area that takes a short time to clean. Well, UNFORTUNATELY, I left and purchased absolutely nothing. I won’t be back and we will spend our hard earned where people are accommodating. When your customers ask you for an exception you should be accommodating as long as the request is reasonable. UNFORTUNATELY, YOU missed out on money today and a HUGE catering order that would have been placed at another time. Thank God, there are plenty other eateries to patronize that will make your experience GREAT! You missed the mark so it’s UNFORTUNATE for YOU!

There is not a lot of dining space. Its definitely pick your food up and dine elsewhere style. I think there were 6 tables and none able to seat more than 4. Amazing food!

Been patronizing this establishment for 30+ years. I always order “spicy”, which takes extra time due to cooking to order. As a result I’ve never experienced anything cold or dry as mentioned in several of the negative reviews below. A few of these people are really something. Person claiming they waited 2 hrs for a fish sandwich, or ordered 2 slices of pie but got a mashed potato instead or the guy refused individual sides (green beans/pork and beans) CLEARLY noted on the menu only by the gallon, all suggesting racisim… really? Or rachel420 who has a physical menu in hand (phone number clearly printed) claiming she wants “ordering” on the menu. Guess she needs an online order platform and cant make a phone-call order? Good golly. Sorry you have to deal with these and likely many other crazies. Please keep up the good work! I look forward to my next visit.

Everything except the chicken tastes like it comes prepackaged. Instant mashed potatoes, gravy from a mix, etc. The chicken tastes like it was cooked hours before

My Partner wanted to get food from Porter’s Fried Chicken for the Superbowl Sunday. I’d never had it before and y’all let me tell you…it was very good. I had a four piece chicken dinner and ate almost the entire thing. I was so full, but happily full. I’ve had other chicken restaurants, but this tasted more like home style cooking to me. My partner got a four piece chicken dinner as well, but also order the fried mushrooms and corn fritters. Those corn fritters tasted like hush puppies and were so good. I’ve always loved hush puppies, but hadn’t had them this tasty in a long time. The fried mushrooms were tasty as well and no sauce was needed for either. If you’re going to Porter’s for a meal or to have an event catered you will not be disappointed. We will be paying them another visit soon.
There was ample parking outside of the establishment, but it was a popular pickup spot for chicken being catered as it was Superbowl Sunday. There were signs posted about social distancing with coronavirus. Masks were required upon entry. There was no sitting to eat. One could order inside or call it in for pickup. The establishment only allowed a certain number of people at a time to remain inside. The Staff has on gloves and masks as well from what I saw. The establishment is wheelchair accessible as well from the parking lot.

With King Edwards closing we were hoping for a replacement chicken joint… it’s too bad our first experience was not good .

Perfect quality fried foods and really good southern style cooking! They also have large servings, so keep that in mind when you place your order.
