Cote de boeuf cooked to perfection, but the middle cut fillet steak absolutely beautiful, probably the finest we have had.
Prawn cocktail superb as was the terrine for starters.
Excellent service all round , a broken glass tumbler was our fault, but staff cleared it without any issue or judgement.
OK. This is not going to be the cheapest of an late afternoon dinner but as a one off special occasion, perfect.
As a side note the place was packed, it was restaurant week, so the specials menu was going down a treat too.
The service was excellent and stood out right away.
The food was incredibly delicious, with a creative menu from the flavorful steak sauce to the perfectly balanced Wagyu short rib bites, combining sous-vide tenderness with rich, buttery taste. Even the classic burger was unforgettable, with its rich bread, quality beef & cheese, and signature sauce. Highly recommended!
Service was a little slow as it appeared regulars seemed to take priority, to the point we had been sat waiting a little while, others were served before us and got their drinks before we had even been acknowledged for an order, however we quietly persevered.
We finally ordered, 2 fillet steaks from the Josper, chips, onion rings and bearnaise. It was nice but wasn’t the wow factor we were expecting after eating at some of the World’s best steak restaurants, it just didn’t seem to hit the mark.
Due to the service and the taste of the food, I’m not sure we would return as it was expensive for a fairly average meal on a lunchtime.
It feels really classy, but there is a ghost town vibe once Fenwick shuts.
I went for the restaurant week menu. The minute steak was meh. The oysters were really lovely and they do happy hour where
it is £1.80 a shuck. Really really tasty red Thai curry too.
The Earl Grey ice cream with the chocolate bomb was divine.
We opted: for rockerfella oysters, crispy oysters, crab parfait, and chicken liver pate. Followed by tuna steak, wagyu burger, hake fillet, and beef stroganoff, all exceptional.
The food was nice, though very expensive and not worth the amount we paid for a quick evening meal before shopping.
