Food was good but not great for price.
My wife’s white beans were tasty but only warm. Her fried pork chop was good but overcooked.
My half of a fried chicken was juicy and pieces large but no spice on coating.
Not very busy.
No worth coming back to.
The turtle soup was the meatiest I’ve ever had! Perfectly seasoned and a generous amount of soup! The fried eggplant is a great appetizer. Lightly breaded with a wonderful thick red sauce. The catch of the day was red fish. Since it did not come with a sauce we asked for it to be served with the sauce that accompanies the fried soft shell crab I highly recommend anyone that orders Seafood from them to also add the sauce from the fried soft shell crab as a perfectly compliments the seafood and they typically do not serve a sauce with their fish.
The only reason for marking the atmosphere down it is very loud with just a few people . please install some sound deadening baffles so the people can enjoy themselves much more
we started off with the onion rings which were decent. we then got the small house, trout almandine, and the eggplant parmesan. the house salad was decent, the accompanying dressing was really good; the trout was big in size and had a good crust but the fish and flavor were bland, and accompanying were green beans and potatoes which tasted like breakfast potatoes; good portion size but a bit bland. the eggplant parm was decent but the flavoring was bland and the eggplants were smaller (there are other places who make the sauce better and bigger eggplants)
overall, great service with decent portion food but bland
Today i take these two issues up with staff. They put me on hold and come back telling me they will guarantee well done dip bread but their hands are tied concerning the amount of dip given. They say management now requires many items to be weighed.
I tell them for 19.95 each you are pricing your appertiser dish to where 2 ounces of dip feels not worth it. In the past it was approximately four ounces of dip. It was enough dip for the approx 10 slices of fench bread given but with less dip your lucky to have enough for 6 breads.
I put order in for two crab dip today anyway. Bread was well done and both dips were 40% full if lucky. Odd observation today there were 40% more french bread slices per pack 17 slices each but only enough dip for seven breads each like last time. Crab meat is cheap in the stores now. Makes no sense.
I read 30 of your most recent reviews and in five of them im seeing this same dip being mentioned negatively for the same issues.
Wont be buying there again unless i see some sort of comment saying dip volume is being increased a bit.
Not going to buy those 5 gift certificates there next year for xmas gifts.
Our server arrived to our table almost immediately after we were seated and took our order and brought us waters.
The establishment appeared to be clean although the seating is slightly cramped and outside of the various frantically placed artwork the ambiance is quite bland.
Our food was made fresh to order and hot! The food was amazing!!! The friend chicken was crispy although not the most flavorful although the po boy was perfect!
This place may lack in aesthetics yet the food is superb!
Will definitely recommend and return.
