Met friends for brunch at this busy place. The reviews looked great and I was so excited. My experience was not good. Very disappointing and a mixed bag of positives and negatives. Couple of positives – bustling atmosphere and large portions. I ordered the lavender blueberry mimosa- they were out. There is a fruit bar- but you only get to go there with an order of waffles or pancakes. Our waitress was very busy and did not try to hide it. She was not helpful and very short- how dare we have questions that slowed her down! I ordered the Crab Cake Eggs

Incredible food and service. So many dishes with proportion sizes that are very justified for the price. Brunch mimosas pitchers are a must for groups. The atmosphere is nice, but can get incredibly loud and busy. Our waitress was incredibly helpful and attentive.

I recently visited Portage Bay Cafe for brunch, and I have to say, it was one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had in a long time. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with plenty of natural light and a beautiful view of the water.

This place gets quite busy so making a reservation before going in would be a good idea. Our reservation was at 11.45am and they seated us at around 11.55am. We ordered food at around 12.05pm and it arrived after quite a while at 12.30pm. I like me some Eggs Benedict but changed my mind end moment to get the Avocado toast which was in chefs special menu. It was not ok, not impressive. The toast was a little soggy like it was sitting for some time and the avocados were slightly brown. Liked the poached eggs on the top though. The potatoes on the side were warm. Neighboring table’s Eggs Benedict were looking good at that point. We also ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes from the breakfast bar and loved them! The flavor was spot on. Couldn’t stop eating them despite feeling full. The cafe has a great vibe.

The food is amazing and delicious! Everything is very flavorful and portions are good sized. Staff definitely seemed a bit overwhelmed and it was only a weekday. Good comes out fairly quickly and warm. During the weekend you’ll definitely want reservations and you still might have to wait. But the food is worth the wait!

The B&G was amazing, some top-tier flavor for sure! Good sized portions. I had the crab avocado, Benny. That was also very fresh and tasty!! There are plenty of other great looking Benny’s that I will definitely go back for!!! Overall, good vibes, great food, and good service!

Came at 12pm on a Sunday. Place was packed with probably 20 people waiting outside for a table. We were lucky to find two seats at the “bar” and sat right away. Ordered, ate, and got the check within 45 minutes.

By far, our favorite place for breakfast in Seattle. I’m gonna say top 5 ever and we’ve had the chance to travel the world. The portions are HUGE!

Food was off the chain. We had the Joe scramble with chicken sausage, plus the lemon ricotta pancakes and the fonio peach pancakes. Everything amazing. My fave was the peach pancakes, my friend’s were the lemon ricotta. Only complaint is they don’t do decaf or lattes (in Seattle! Coffee capital!). Service lovely, atmosphere positive. The gluten free toast is off the chain too! I’ve been thinking about those pancakes for two weeks

The gluten free lemon ricotta pancakes were delicious, and I loved the berry bar. I also love that they do a unique coffee of the week. My husband had the breakfast burrito and said it was great.
