We had an absolutely wonderful experience here! The food was incredibly tasty, with every dish full of flavor and beautifully presented. The place was not worth the visit. We came for a quick dinner; the restaurant only had four tables occupied, yet the service was absurdly slow. We ordered still water, but it arrived sparkling. We ordered a €15 ravioli dish, and it came with only five ravioli, tasting no better than pre-made pasta. The flavor was bland. The dish had a nice aesthetic presentation, but the taste was not good.
My boyfriend ordered ossobuco, which was okay—nothing that justified the price of the dishes. We asked for the bill and waited more than 15 minutes, and they still charged a service fee much higher than other local restaurants.
The restaurant has a “gourmetized” vibe, with nicely presented dishes, but they are not as flavorful as simpler restaurants or other well-known places in the city. If you want a true Italian gastronomic experience, I do not recommend it. You will pay higher prices for everything, the service will not be good, and the flavor will be well below expectations.

We had a fantastic dinner at Porta Roma. Michael was our waiter and he talked us though the different steak options, recommended a cut and showed it to us after cutting it. We also had some porcini mushrooms as a starter and a margarita pizza that was also delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and washed down with a bottle of chianti. The staff all spoke English and were very friendly to our family.Highly recommend!

It seems this place gets overlooked easily absolutely unfairly. Stepped in for lunch without much expectations and got very pleasantly surprised. Great value for money, very generous portions and professional service. Very spacious so likely you can get away without reservation. Absolutely loved the wall size windows in couple of their rooms.

We loved this place so much we went two nights in a row. By far our favourite restaurant while on our 15 day trip in Italy. Love the layout of the restaurant, although it was fairly large it was divided into 3 areas which gave it a quaint feel. All the staff were friendly and gave great service, there wasn’t a fish we didn’t like and the prices were great. I would go back to Florence to eat there!

A wonderful place with great service and delicious dishes. The staff is wonderful, helpful and kind and we loved coming back to this place after our first visit. Their gluten-free pizza is absolutely amazing. Give it a try if you are looking for wonderful gluten free pizza and amazing steak. (It looked amazing, didn’t try it.) I can only recommend personally the gluten free pizza.
