We love pizza at Porta. We usually go to the jersey city location, but while visiting asbury park, we decided to go here rather than trying a new place. Overall, we love the drinks, food and service. This location is huge which can accommodate many people. Their menu has so many vegetarian choices and that is another reason i love this place. Server was very warm and helpful. I like their watermelon cocktail drinks and their local IPA limited 2 options.

Have been to the Porta in JC a ton so it was cool to finally have the chance to hit up the original location. It holds up in all respects – food is solid, staff were kind/attentive.

We had our wedding at Porta, so this is specifically a venue-based review even though we love our experiences as customers on the restaurant end as well. We had a fantastic experience, working with Chandler, Peyton, and Elizabeth at Porta. The wedding package is extremely affordable compared to other venues, and there are so many ways to customize the bar and the food.

We had our wedding in the Abott room, and it was truly such an amazing experience! When looking at venues, we wanted something that was unique, and when we saw Porta, we knew it was perfect. Chandler was so sweet and responsive to my million questions (thanks again girl). She reassured us that everything would be taken care of, and it was!! On our wedding day, Peyton and Elizabeth were so attentive!! They constantly checked on me and my husband, bringing us the appetizers, water, etc. The entire team took care of it all and we were able to dance the night away under the awesome disco ball installation. The food was to die for! Every single on the menu was a hit, including the cake. Honestly, everything about Porta was flawless. The team does a perfect job of taking care of everything for you. All you do is show up, eat, drink, and dance! Thank you, Porta team, for everything!

I don’t know what to say. I keep going back and I keep walking out at least satisfied. I want to love this place but can’t get over the hump. I love the menu options and unique combinations. But I usually leave underwhelmed. The Nutella pizza is so simple yet so good tho. They protect it with a bread cover, so park inside and see the river of Nutella in there!

Atmosphere is obviously great as it was walkable from the beach and near a concert venue. Good music, good outdoor seating. The risotto was great, perhaps my favorite in a while. The broccoli rabe was a bit too bitter for me, maybe should’ve been blanched than over cooked? The pizza tasted good, solid crust and all.

I’m familiar with all three locations of Porta (Asbury, Montclair and Jersey City), each of which has a pretty unique atmosphere and really taps into their immediate surroundings. This Porta is probably my favorite, and that’s due in no small part to its location a block from the Asbury boardwalk. It’s usually pretty bustling (what isn’t in Asbury these days, especially in the summer?) but also doesn’t feel claustrophobic/overwhelming.

Porta in Asbury Park is a great Italian restaurant and pizzeria! My family and I have eaten here a number of times and the food is always outstanding. They have about 10 appetizers on the menu. The bread duo, hand rolled meatballs, and mozzarella are some of my favorites. The pizza pies are a decent size, in the medium-range. We have tried, the, Margherita, Carbonara which includes a roasted egg, The Lost Daughter, which is more like a meat lovers pizza in the Spring Betty which has goat cheese, spring onions thyme and garlic. The pasta is always fresh and al dente. I especially enjoy the spaghetti and bucatini.

I’ve eaten here numerous times and have always had a fantastic meal, so when it came to deciding on a wedding venue it ended up being a no brainer. From the moment I knew Porta hosted weddings, I always had it in the back of my mind that this was where I wanted to celebrate. We had about 105 guests and the Abbott Room & attached outdoor area was the perfect amount of space. The food was phenomenal and something our guests are still talking about to this day. Porta packs up every bit of food that is left over to send home with you (we encouraged our guests to take a pizza on their way out the door), so you really feel like you are getting your moneys worth. Their staff is a pleasure to work with, and while they are not your traditional venue where you are having constant meetings, you get everything you need out of the 2-3 meetings you do have and they are more than accommodating to setting up additional meetings if needed. The Abbott Room is a stunner, the bar is huge and accessible from both inside and outside, you get a private bathroom for your guests, and the dance floor is the perfect size. They are the best and I am so happy to have chosen them. It will absolutely make our future meals there even more special.

There was a live band playing with such range. Everything from Sweet Caroline to some Mexican ballads. The food was phenomenal great place to start my first time on the east coast. We got the fresh made mozzarella for an appetizer. I drank 2 kolsch beers brewed from somewhere over here. I got the Monday Night’s gnocchi and it was the best gnocchi I’ve had to date. We sat at the inside bar and the service was fantastic along with some very attractive male bartenders
