It’s a fast-food sub, and tastes like a sub. Ingredients are fresh (meat and veggies), except for their avocado which tastes bitter. In many ways, the quality is consistent with Jersey Mike and Jimmy John’s quality. Nothing spectacular, but definitely better than the big chains like Subway and Quiznos. Not bad.

I got port of subs catering and the sandwiches were mid at best. They were extremely soggy upon picking up (we showed up exactly at pickup time) the meat and cheese were extremely thin, like translucent. All you could taste was soggy bread and lettuce. Super disappointed and embarrassed that I had to serve people this food. The quality is usually pretty good so I figured it’d be a great option for a big group but I was mistaken. Typically when I go in, I’ve noticed some of the staff seems like it’s an inconvenience for me to even be there, noting consistently rude attitudes to customers and their fellow staff, the names I’ve been to find are Vanessa and Adriana. I hope Port of Subs cleans up their act with quality and teaches their employees basic manners.

Great subs!! Fresh bread. Lots of toppings. Fresh sliced deli meats and cheeses. Perfect spot to pick up lunch on the way to the beach. Friendly staff! Definitely a spot to hit while you are in town visiting!

However, I was pretty shocked by some aspects of the service. When we walked in the new owner introduced himself, sat down at a table to chat, watched a line form, and never got up to help the three women working.
The three women were quite disorganized and seemed to not know the menu well. When a sandwich was made with the wrong meat, the worker just threw the meat out (which was disappointing to see the waste).
After making a pretty basic request, two of the three women got annoyed and talked about us in Spanish (not realizing we understood what they were saying).
We usually love this Port of Subs and always make a point to go every summer, but the behavior of both the relatively new owner (since 2024) and the service in general left quite a bit to be desired.

So very happy with the experience. The lady who was taking orders, making subs and handing the billing is extremely friendly. She was making 4-5 sandwiches for another customer when we arrived, but constantly thanking us for our time, which is not seen nowadays, people don’t even acknowledge other’s presence. The wide available options also made us happy and hungry. So very thankful to the lady who made our sandwiches with so much care.

Our family loves this sandwich shop. The food is good, sandwiches are reasonably priced, service is fast and friendly, atmosphere is comfortable and casual to eat a sub sandwich. We’ve been here many times and its a great place to pickup a picnic and then walk to the lake to eat it with one of the most beautiful views in the world.

Today , I had a very unpleasant experience. I ordered the “#1 sandwich” but the African American female employee didn’t seem to understand me. When I asked if they had diet bread, she suddenly raised her voice and spoke to me in a very rude and unprofessional way. Totally unacceptable customer service — this staff needs proper training.

I stopped in for a quick sub, and I was just AMAZED! The BEST SUB SANDWICH I’ve ever had anywhere! The bread is so tasty! The sandwich options and the many vegetable choices added to the high quality meats make this literally the best tasting sub I’ve ever had! This doesn’t taste like fast food. The big sub places and chains can’t hold a candle to this place! I’m here for 3 weeks and Ill probably eat lunch here every day! That good!
