Port City Java in downtown Southport serves freshly roasted coffee just blocks from the waterfront. Carolina born and raised since 1995, we roast our specialty coffee locally in Wilmington and brew it daily on Howe Street.

stopped here for breakfast on the weekend following thanksgiving. staff was welcoming and helpful, promptly provided me tap water and hot sauce upon request. space was under maintenance but still maintained a lovely ambiance and space to enjoy our food and beverages. bfast sammie was delicious and a good cup of joe to boot.

Julia was super nice. We came in to order with 15 minutes left before close. She was nice enough to let us order and got us everything we needed with a smile! She did a phenomenal job and I would recommend going here. With servers like Julia people want to come back. Thank you!

We love Port City Java!! The staff is very friendly and we love the mocha shakes. They also have a small selection of baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. We enjoy grabbing our order and strolling around the waterfront (within walking distance). It is a MUST when we visit Southport!!

Each time my family and I have visited this PCJ, we’ve never felt less than welcomed! The atmosphere leans on the peaceful side, and the baristas are incredibly kind. Always met with quick service, too! Definitely our favorite place to stop and grab our chais.

I ordered the espresso freeze and my husband ordered the caramello leche, and we thoroughly enjoyed them both. The barista was really friendly and the atmosphere is quite nice. It was our first stop in Southport after getting off the ferry and I’m glad we did.

Been in a ton of coffee shops. THIS coffee shop is awesome! Very clean and smells awesome as soon as you walk in. More than plenty on the menu to choose from. Staff was very courteous. I would highly recommend giving them a try if you are in Southport.
