Port City Java has been waking up Wilmington, NC since 1995. Nestled in the heart of historic downtown, our first café quickly became a hub for coffee lovers in the community. Our admittedly simple goals were to bring great, fresh-roasted coffee to our neighbors with the help of a charming but ever mischievous 15-kilo Ambex roaster. Port City Java has evolved and grown to operate over 30 cafes as well as its own bakery, roastery and distribution center since then. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Stopped in for a quick breakfast snack with the in-laws from out of town. The staff were pleasant, and I LOVE the ice they use for the iced drinks. I got the iced mocha latte and zucchini bread. It’s cute and endearing to see local artwork put up, and if you like it seems like you can purchase what’s on display. I always enjoy seeing local supporting local.

Amazing staff, exceptional service, great coffee, creative flavor combinations, & always so clean. (Right around 100% health inspection). I look forward to all the seasonal flavors. Our experience at Port City Java has not disappointed. We get the standard large coffee and the sausage, egg, pepper jack cheese breakfast sandwich on a plain bagel. Have been there 3 times over the last week and every time the food and coffee were pretty darn good. Service in the store (I walk in and order) has been quick and efficient.

I’m just commenting on the extremely friendly staff!! A friend brought me a drink, and it didn’t taste like it usually does. I called and explained this. I was told to come for a replacement. I was given a 2.00 off next purchase! Staff was apologetic and very kind!

We stopped by this coffee shop on our way out of Carolina Beach on a Monday morning. At around 8AM, they weren’t super busy, and there was no wait. I got an iced coffee that was fairly standard, but met expectations. I also bought a bag of their light roast coffee, and they were kind enough to grind it for me. Overall, it was a short and enjoyable trip!

I absolutely love this location! These girls are on point, always! They are kind and personable. Our daughter loves to go inside and see everyone. The coffee is always the way we expect and there’s always a great vibe from the employees! The employees at this location are the reason me and so many other friends and family have become regular loyal pcj’ers! Thank you gals for always starting our mornings off right!
