Love to swing by a local coffee shop on mornings I want a lil treat. Prices are cheaper than the big chains AND the drinks/food are yummier. And that’s not even mentioning the rewards program! Love that the chai lattes have a bit of spice. Always seem to have cheery employees. And dog treats 🙂

This is a great spot to get a good coffee and get work done or have a conversation. This is quieter than some of the other shops in town with plenty of good table space and outlets along with a couple couches if you are looking for something comfier. The coffee is reliable and the service is friendly. There is also a drive thru that is typically quick no matter the time of day!

I had had some issues in the past, but I have seen improvement. I always taste my drink before I go just to make sure it’s good. My only issue is the drive thru is very slow, but hey, I’m the one who chooses to go there!

I use to LOVE PCJ….However the past few months I’ve been trying to give it a chance and every time I am extremely disappointed. Today I got a Cinnamon Toast Latte and it was so sweet I had to throw it away. I don’t know if it’s the staff training or what but it feels like they just don’t care. Growing up in Wilmington PCJ use to be the best coffee shop….unfortunately it just isn’t what it use to be.

I keep trying to give this place a chance to improve, but my friend and I visited yesterday afternoon and not only did we have to wait awhile to be acknowledged by staff and our orders taken, but her bagel was stale (she could hardly bite into it!) and we had to wait almost 15 minutes for two drinks and a bagel. We go about 4 times a week in the drive thru. Every time it is a pleasant experience, the coffee’s are delicious, and customer service is outstanding. The new manager ( I think she has been there many months) is amazing, trains her staff well and selects the best employees. Kudos to her. It is so much better, especially with consistency, than with previous management. Porters neck Port City is the best in Wilmington.
