Port City Java has been waking up Wilmington, NC since 1995. Nestled in the heart of historic downtown, our first café quickly became a hub for coffee lovers in the community. Our admittedly simple goals were to bring great, fresh-roasted coffee to our neighbors with the help of a charming but ever mischievous 15-kilo Ambex roaster. Port City Java has evolved and grown to operate over 30 cafes as well as its own bakery, roastery and distribution center since then. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Literally deleted my review over a year ago so I can put another. 11/10 coffee and service. These coffee beans put Jack and his magic beans to shame. I had a self-inflicted headache, one sip of this coffee and I’m good to go. After finishing my drink, I feel like I can fight a silver back gorilla one handed.

Visited during the Riverfest and even with a line through the door they were still able to serve customers rather quickly. I got the 16 oz Green Wave smoothie and my Husband got the Campfire Latte and they were both tasty. The sugar/straw area was a little messy and we had to wait in line to ask for a straw but it was also during a busy period. Atmosphere is warm and cozy. 10/10 recommend.

This coffee is excellent. Non acidic, smooth, flavorful. Manager Boone said you can place an order by 10am on Wednesday and it will be ready the next day. And they roast the beans in town. What a gem!

This is a great cafe to sit and work on my website. Unfortunately, the internet is so slow that opening a single webpage takes forever and kind of ruins the experience.
It’s open from 7a-7p on most days, hardly anyone in here which is great but I’m also concerned that they might not be open for too long because it’s not generating enough cash flow.
I live in the neighborhood and I’d love to be a regular, but I’m hesitant because of the wifi.
I hope y’all invest in a better network!

Went through the drive-through and ordered a small cup of coffee with milk. Pulled up to the window and watched as the associates were just talking to each other and not doing anything. Waited for about five minutes and then just left. There was nobody behind me, and my order was super simple.

We love the Port City Java location on Market Street. We are not locals, but you can tell that many of the AM customers are as the staff was greeting them by name. We had tea, coffee, and muffins. There is an ample selection of teas, coffees, muffins, and breads. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The staff is super friendly. Free refills is just an added bonus!

I love this Port City Java on Market Street in Wilmington. The staff are always so friendly and knowledgeable on drinks. They are willing to help you with any of the menu items if you have trouble. It is a great place to do work or study and the place is always clean. The food is delicious and the coffee is always great! Super fast service and always on point. I always leave a tip because the staff here treat me so well.
