Our waitress was the owner and he wasn’t friendly, carnitas plate taste as frozen food without flavor, definitely I don’t recommend this place, across the street selling better authentic Mexican food.

I’m get dissatisfied with my server unwilling to accommodate my simple request of wanting to order nopales. It is something they sell on the menu and I’m always able to order as a side. I even offered to pay for full dish so I can just have nopales… what a bummer !

This place has been a staple of the community my entire life. It was a bustling business when I was a kid. I’m happy to see it’s still open but it’s not thriving like before.

The parking lot was dark. I’m not 100% sure if we’re allowed to park in the back. The sign said to park across the street at Wengers.

I loved to see the two women near the door, preparing food. They should showcase themselves making tortillas.

The restaurant is a little tattered and outdated. There was not much thought put into the decor. A bunch of random, cheap framed posters line the walls. The hallway that might have lead to the restroom was unlit.

I ordered Camarones Mojo de ajo. My food was delicious! My shrimp were butterflied and grilled. The salad was fresh and crispy. My husband got the Carnitas plate. The meat was tender and juicy. I would go order carnitas by the pound if they offered it that way. Yum!!!

I didn’t like how my Michelada was served. They brought me a huge mug halfway full. I don’t think there was one full beer in it. I had to order another beer to add to the tomato juice they served me. It didn’t taste good after that.
We paid with a credit card. I would have tipped them, but they didn’t bring me a pen to add a tip, or to sign the receipt.

This place needs a little more love. I hope the owners can manage to upgrade soon so they can attract more customers and keep these doors open another 6 decades. They should wear uniforms, light up the windows and the parking lot, and choose a theme for the decor. ✌ ❤️

Had a burrito to go it took 20 minutes. Mind you no one was in there, it was like 1 hour before closing. I took it home opened it up and was so disappointed . It Looked horrible, I ate it just because I was hungry. It was so bland no flavor I should of gone to taco bell. I haven’t gone back ever since .

We ordered a molcajete and everything was very good except the meat, didn’t taste like beef. The owner was kind of rude with us since the beginning but we understood since we arrived 45 minutes before closing (we figured he had a long day). When we asked for the check he threw it at us and he shorted us $6 dollars. When we asked for our complete change he again threw the money at us. When my husband asked what kind of meat he gave us he said “es de burro señor” which translates to “it’s donkey meat” Needless to say it’s our first and last visit there.

Looking for typical Mexican food, I came across this place online. The reviews were good so I decided to give it a try.. I m pleased to share that my experience was good! The service is great and so is the food. My boyfriend got the chicken mole enchiladas which were delicious and I got the green chilaquiles with eggs. Bomb!! I highly recommend.

The first time I ate the menudo it was super good. But it was to go. This time it was super chewy, needed more cooking. We ate there. The bowl is not deep but big so the menudo gets colder faster. But the service was great. I will try 1 more time
