My recent visit to Porkies was an absolute delight, and I can’t help but share the love for this hidden gem! From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with a quaint and cozy atmosphere that set the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience.
The owner, Jakes’, passion for what he does shines through every aspect of the restaurant. His personable nature made us feel right at home, and it’s evident that he genuinely loves his customers and is dedicated to creating a welcoming space. The attention to detail in the decor and ambiance adds an extra layer of charm, making it a top-notch spot for anyone seeking a relaxed and enjoyable meal.
Now, let’s talk about the barbecue – it’s nothing short of phenomenal! Each dish is crafted with care, and the flavors are a testament to the owner’s dedication to his craft. The menu boasts a variety of options that cater to different tastes, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re a barbecue aficionado or just looking for a tasty meal, you won’t be disappointed.
I highly recommend Porkies to anyone who appreciates good food, a warm atmosphere, and the genuine passion of a dedicated owner. It’s a true gem in the local dining scene, and I can’t wait for my next visit to savor more delicious bites and soak in the heartwarming vibes.
The big cheese panini with shredded pork is awesome but very hard to finish! The Cuban I was very well regarded. If only we could come here more often.
Delightful to enjoy sitting in the beer garden under the shade with cool drinks.
Strongly recommended!
My partner and I took my dad out for lunch, and none of us were disappointed. Everything we ate was delicious and hugely portioned. The Cubano was giant and tasty. The pulled chicken was moist, tender and delicious. And their sauces need to be bottled and sold. We all appreciated that we were able to sauce our own items. It also gave us the opportunity to try the meats before saucing them, and again, they were so delicious.
Make sure to try the pig wings, slaw (both were great, and the spicy was our favorite!), and corn bread. And I *hope* the eggplant fries wind up making the menu because those were absolutely delightful!! Thank you for an awesome experience – we cannot wait to come back!
And for those reading… RUN to go try their food.
I see there are a few mentions of upcoming renovations and I am super excited to come back and see what they have done with the place!
