Ribs were tender and flavored. Potato salad was delicious and compliments the ribs. The Cole slaw was different. It had a vinegar base instead of being creamy that made it taste like eating a head of cabbage. Not my preference. Very friendly staff.

Came here for the first time based on the reviews….and I’m so glad I did. It feels so good to ditch fast food and instead eat homemade fried chicken!!! The staff was warm, friendly and passionate about their food. This will definitely be my potluck stop for fried chicken. And, the sauce on those ribs was hickory, savory and sweet

Love some me some Porkey’s, their meat is tender, juicy and absolutely delicious! We even had them cater our wedding and they did not disappoint! All the guests loved it ,especially the burnt ends and pulled pork.

To me, this is what a BBQ joint is supposed to feel like. Its away from the town, built in an old strip mall, no frills inside or out, just good fresh flavors. This team does carolina style pork and fixin’s that just hit differently than the sugary sweet stuff that dominates in the chain restaurants. My usual is the pulled pork, the greens, and the beans. The staff is super warm and friendly.

It’s now called “Porky’s”. Pretty good BBQ. I ordered the 6oz pulled pork plate. Comes with a piece of chicken, a scoop of pulled pork, a side, and a small cup of cole slaw.
I was disappointed when I opened my box and noticed that there was no bread, of any sort. Just a scoop of pulled pork. I feel like the meal would’ve been so much better with some cornbread, or even just a couple slices of white bread.
As for the flavors: they were good. The chicken was juicy (I had a thigh), the pork was pretty good. The mac n cheese was pedestrian. I’m not a fan of cole slaw so I can’t be an objective judge of it.
A few reviewers mentioned their corn nuggets, so I tried them. They were good enough.
For one meal, a drink and a side of corn nuggets – I paid $19+… Not worth the cost.

My family arrived at 2:30 on Labor Day after driving from Accokeek to try the wedges. Of course they were sold out because they were closing at 3pm. I told the owner how far we traveled and she made us some wedges. New customer. Not only were the wedges delicious the customer service was out of this world!

Fantastic customer service, and the food is PNENOMENAL! We tried chicken, ribs, and brisket, and they were all hits. I’m not even a fried chicken fan, and I was blown away! My husband is a barbecue fanatic, and said it was the best barbecue he’s ever had in his life! We came from an hour away, and can’t wait to come back. So happy to support a local business that’s doing it better than anyone else around!

You have to check this place out. The barbecue is absolutely delicious. Grab a big pulled pork sandwich with sides of hush puppies and wedge fries. Definitely the hush puppies.
