Place empty at 5 pm on Saturday. I now know why. Food was atrocious see photo of taco soup instead of taco salad. Cheese fries was disgusting. Guy that works there how our food was, I was honest and said didn’t like it at all, asked him if taco salad looked appetizing to him and he pulled the no speak English card. Will not be back and world not recommend to anyone.

Definitely a solid Tex-Mex option in the area. Right off 151, it’s in a convenient location if you live in Anamosa or commuting elsewhere.
No complaints about the food and drinks. Portions were large and the ingredients, especially were fresh. One of the favorites in our table was the pollo Guadalajara, which was served on a hot skillet with mushrooms and onions.
The service was great as well. It was cinco de mayo and you could tell the staff was stretched pretty thin. However, no one lost their cool and we felt taken care of throughout the evening. Great dining option if you live in anamosa or in the area!

Very clean, staff was tremendous, the Food was delicious, we were greeted immediately and served Chips and salsa, the chips were fresh and crispy. We had the Smothered Flautas, Steak Burrito Grande, Azada Fries, and 2 strawberry Margaritas. The smothered Flautas chicken has so much flavor, the steak was good and hot but did taste reheated. Azada Fries are definitely a must get! Angeles (Angie) was fantastic and so kind even when my son was acting a little silly. Definitely will come back and recommend.
Side note: I have a shellfish allergy I made them aware of and they understood what it was needed to prevent cross contamination.

This resturant is new. Was expecting typical Mexican food BUT was very surprised…. first the service is exceptional probably 1 of the best waiters we have had. Second the Margaritas are house made and taste fresh and perfect, 2 for 1 happy hour… third the guacamole is house made fresh and is out of this world flavors. The food very very fresh ingredients, flavors are very deep and interesting, not your typical fajitas,,,better!! Lots of seafood options for tacos … the street tacos will make me return alot.. probably the best Mexican food we have had in our many visits to Mexican restaurants… do yourself a favor and try this place!!

Absolutely amazing!!! I am in Heaven when I come here. The Porfirios Tacos are the most amazing thing I’ve ever had when it comes to tacos! The verde I want to buy by the gallon and eat it on everything at home! Margs are amazing and atmosphere is definitely a level up for the area! Such a nice place to come hangout with family and friends for a yummy dinner and drinks!

Wonderful food. Too bad they don’t like to make it or serve it, as the kitchen has been closed on numerous previous occasions, but never the same day of the week. They also charge a service fee if you use a card, which is very annoying considering the inconvenience of the 50/50 shot they are open. Almost always when I pick up my food there is someone’s friend hanging out at the bar area, with no one else in sight.

The food was horrible. We had 2 people order tacos (should have been really easy) they did not get their food until the rest of us were done eating. Service sucked. Had to keep reminding waitress to fill the chips/dip/water/drinks. Was not worth the money we spent. Will never return.

Was visiting from out of town and decided to try this place. Great margarita, very friendly girls that work there(made me feel right at home), and the taco trio that was recommended to me was yummy. I’ll definitely go back when I’m in town again!
