Our first time here and it was PHENOMENAL. We were seated right away, and chips and salsa hit the table fast. The salsa was some of the best I’ve ever had and the chips were nice and thick. Griselda was our waitress, she was so warm and welcoming, and a lot of fun to joke around with. We had the cheese dip as an appetizer (excellent), steak tacos (perfection), vampiros birria (delicious), and enchiladas birria (flavorful). The whole experience was something we can’t wait to experience again!

Ate at Porfirios Mexican Restaurant again tonight and it was a hit! Their tacos are spot on, their lasagna was surprisingly delicious, and their steak was perfectly cooked! Love the fun atmosphere and our waiter, Ethan was on top of it! Excited to finally have a Mexican restaurant that serves delicious options for everyone! Didn’t miss a beat!

Wow! Let me just say that they knocked it out of the ball park! I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is!! We came for lunch and got the burrito supreme (Birria meat) and the chimichanga (grilled chicken). Both were excellent and both meats were tender.

Date night! Sat at the main bar with Ethan and his amazing bar back. I don’t want to butcher her name! They both were so kind while slinging drinks for their servers on the fly! Great food! Great Service! Great Atmosphere! We will be back! 10/10

Was very pleased with this restaurant.My server Ke’Mareal was excellent.He came by a few times to see if we needed anything. He was very polite and well mannered. I highly recommend him.The food was excellent. They serve plenty of food not like some places. Food was delish !!! This restaurant is the place to be.was my first time there and won’t be the last.

Good selection on the menu. The fresh guacamole was good. Food was pretty good and came out quickly. Portions were good. I ordered s smaller plate and i was comfortably full. My wife had fajitas and brought food home. Our service left a lot to be desired. Slow to come to the table to get order, never came by for drink refills. Other servers at other table were more attentive. A solid second choice for local mexican food.

Very pleasantly surprised by how much we loved this place! It’s tucked away on Lumpkin but has dedicated parking. Fantastic environment with great decorations and even a photo spot. Emma was our server and made suggestions and was very attentive. Our food was so good that we added to go orders for later. Our new local favorite!

The place is very spacious, very beautiful, and very clean. The men’s restroom was a little dirty, but that can be improved. The music wasn’t Mexican or Latin music, which was surprising for a new Mexican restaurant. The staff were very friendly, although some of the workers didn’t smile. The waitress MC, did a great job. She was very friendly, and focus on her tables. I highly recommend her. The chips were hard. I do not know if those chips were different kind. I ordered the picanha, $19.95 and expected more food for the price. The steak was smaller than my hand, slightly salty, and burned around the edges. The rice was a little salty. Looking at other options (the three picanha tacos were only $3 less). The drinks are 100% recommended; the bartender or whoever made the drinks did a great job!

Only reason this establishment gets 1-star is bc the food, from what I was able to eat, was tasty. However, from the moment me and my colleagues walked in for a quick bite, it was downhill. Took minimum 5 mins to even be acknowledged. And when we were, took about 5 more minimum to be sat. Mind you- restaurant is maybe at about 35% capacity on. Monday at 12:00. But, fully staffed. Then, after finally being sat after again letting staff know. We sat for an additional 10 mins minimum. All the while, being looked at by staff, yet not being acknowledged. A waitress, I believe her name is Emma, noticed us walking into her shift and took the initiative to help us. She then was reprimanded by her manager for…servinggggg us. For customer service… yes, you read that right. My co-worker then proceeded to call him over and tell him that’s not okay that she is doing her job, and she gets reprimanded. He goes on to say “she should’ve asked me first”… yada, yada, yada. He still wasn’t agreeing with us. My food and my co workers then came out wrong. Mgr came back and apologized, but then proceeds to start back to original conversation and that he “just took over this restaurant” and he’s trying to teach the staff away from their bad habits. He completely..I mean, completely was blaming his staff. Buttttt. He got scared, demeanor changed bc I asked his name after he started on the 1st time taking zero accountability, and yelling at his staff for helping. But wow the rambling. on and on. Rambling regarding the terrible “service” we received. He said “the tip is going to my waitress, I’ve decided.” I said, “oh no, sir they went to get cash bc we want to make sureeeee she gets it’s. We already decided. All of it. Bc she deserves it, and is actually doing her job. And then you discipline her for it?”… Ughhhh. Just. Can’t imagine those employees. Terrible customer service. Terrible handling of the restaurant and tending to customers. But hey- the salsa is tasty. Queso is good. But, the service ruined it, and the treatment of how they treat their employees- no. This occurred Feb 10 around 12pm. Mgr on duty- shouldn’t be one. Emma (hope that’s right) – give her the mgr position.
