The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was very attentive to our wants and needs. The restaurant in itself was kind of small, but the atmosphere was very cozy, and it felt almost like a family reunion with people that you’ve never met. The owner and the chef were also wonderful and made us feel so welcomed. I would definitely come back to this establishment.

Came here for a birthday dinner planned by two of my best friends. Service was incredible & the food was out of this world. The minute you walk in it’s cozy and comfortable. Everyone in the place felt like family.

Oh wow! What to say about this amazing restaurant?!? We felt like “La famiglia” this place is amazing and if you’re ever in Philadelphia you NEED to go. David and Steve are such amazing people, they made us feel so welcome and special, we were a big table of 14 people for my birthday and I want to make this place a tradition for my bday from now on. My daughter wanted gnocchis and they weren’t making them that night, so they called her into the kitchen and they made them fresh for her and gave her an apron and called her “Porcini’s chef Alma”

Not sure why I’ve never reviewed this place before, its one of our favorite Italian restaurants in the city. Just recently ate here again for restaurant week, had the Bruschetta e fagioli, shrimp risotto, pollo saltimbocca, and the porchetta. This lemon cream dessert is always devine, do not skip that

Porcini is a hidden gem! It’s my favorite cozy, BYOB to dine at whenever I’m in the city or have a special occasion to celebrate. Everything on their menu is delicious, especially the artichoke appetizer & bolognese. The pasta portions are generous but I promise, you’ll want to lick the plate clean! There’s always room for dessert like a classic canolli or tiramisu! Many thanks to everyone at Porcini for helping make each experience so wonderful & memorable.

One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to. Service is great and so is the food. It’s Byob so I was sipping on vodka all night and they kept refilling my ice. Make a reservation though this place is small and it fills up quick.

Porcini does not look like much from the outside, but the warm atmosphere and cozy interior set the tone for a wonderful Italian experience. It is a byob so bring your favorite wines, and make sure you have a reservation! The prosciutto on melon appetizer is wonderful. The formaggio salad had an excellent goat cheese that was fairly mild. The tagliatelle was amazing, with the creaminess of the Aurora sauce balanced by the saltiness of the crisped prosciutto combined with the texture of a perfectly cooked pasta. The seafood risotto was delicious as well with fresh fish, mussels, calamari, and shrimp in a lovely roasted tomato sauce. And the puff pastry and cream dessert was spectacular. The staff was friendly and courteous. Definitely a place to check out!

Tightly packed and barely a restaurant. You have to BYOB. The servers would pass by without looking at you (which is impressive considering how compact this place was). Because of the tightness, when they pass by you, you usually got bumped by the staff. The It did not work, which resulted in a shouting match between a server and a chef (so that is your atmosphere -literal and otherwise). The chicken parmesan was soggy: noodles undercooked, the plate swimming in watered down pasta sauce. We also had the caprese salad which was very salty…huge slices of tomato and thin slices of mozzarella. We left half way through dinner and went elsewhere. Using the bathroom was another experience (and not a good one).
