Been in Hampton Roads for 30 years and have never been here. It was awful. I had the meatloaf, mashed potatos, baked beans, garlic bread, and tea. You know how on a meatloaf, there is a red sauce on top, this one didn’t have that. They put the same brown gravy as on the mashed potatos. They should just Google “Meatloaf Recipe” and make that. Their meatloaf was just meat stuff…no flavor at all. The mashed potatos, tea, and garlic bread were great. The baked beans…oh…cmon….these were beans out of a beanie weenie can. These were not baked beans. I’ll bet this place has microwaves in the back. I don’t know how long this place has been here, but clearly Poquoson has gotten used to this awful food. I will say this. Before I ordered, I asked the waitress about the meatloaf and she told me that she wasn’t a big meatloaf eater. Should I have taken that as a hint not to get the meatloaf? Maybe….who knows. Shouldn’t the waitress have warned me to just get something else? If the diner reads this review and tells me to come back and try “X” meal on a particular day because maybe its fresher that day or it’s their specialty, I’ll come back and revisit this review.

First time here and we’re impressed with the menu prices. The food was delicious and made with care. The coffee nothing special just standard restaurant coffee. We definitely want to go back again to try dinner here. This place is definitely a local spot.

We always enjoy a good comfort diner style breakfast. Very consistent quality and service. I love that they use random coffee mugs. Nothing fancy just quality food at reasonable price. What’s shown is “A little more” base price like 12$ plus coffee and add on is onion and peppers to my home fries. The special today was shrimp omelet.

I had hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and a salad , my husband had meatloaf , salad and mashed potatoes..The meatloaf was a large helping so he was beyond pleased the hamburger steak was tender and cooked just right. One of the best meals we have out in a long time.
