The brisket fries, mac and cheese, fried picked were of the best we’ve ever had. Then we did some tomahawk tossing- super good time! There was one waitress with beautiful red hair was running around like a hummingbird, taking care of everyone. So glad we stopped in!

Can’t speak on the other reviews. I found every time ordered to be flavorful, rich, seasoned to perfection (pork, catfish, hush puppies, fries). Even my girlfriend who is the pickiest eater, indulged in the Auntie’s Mac which I have to say, was killer. Yes, the food is brought to you by an outside food truck, but it has no negative alterations on the quality AND quantity. I’m from Miami Beach, my standards are high, this place deserves more.

It looks like they’ve recently remodeled with new, bright, clean decor. We were greeted promptly and seated immediately for lunch.
The food was delicious. Baby back ribs, pulled pork sandwich, Mac and cheese and beans, were all super flavorful! The baked Mac and cheese has a slight kick but still delicious!

I have been here a few times and the place is great. I haven’t had such good homestyle Mac & cheese like they make in a long time. They have a great menu with servings to fill the belly. I had the wings and mac&cheese with fried pickles. Highly recommend eating here.

I got the catfish, slaw & baked apples & my husband got the brisket, Mac & cheese & collard. The food was delicious, except for being on the salty side for us, since we are not heavy salt
users. It is a rustic atmosphere, but they are in the process of remodeling & were having to do a relay of food from the food truck outside to the restaurant. The waitress/hostess did an admirable job running back & forth and was still very pleasant & helpful. Due to the circumstances, they are not really able to handle a large volume of customers at this time. The atmosphere was fairly quiet since there was not a large volume of customers. However they do have an area off to the side that they have axe throwing. I would like to eat there again after they finish with the remodeling.

This is like the only place to eat in this area, so that seriously sucks. I don’t think we will be back & we come to Cherokee allll the time. They have absolutely amazing food, but we were treated like shit for my 7 month old crying in the restaurant. I am a server myself. I know it sucks to wait on kids, but you can’t treat people horribly because of it. My husband took the baby outside the second she started crying , and I stayed to get to go boxes. I was completely ignored for several minutes. I also could hear the servers talking about me, and when I was walking out they said “I guess they heard us”. I have the anxiety of my child bothering somebody. We were trying to feed her the second, & she wasn’t wanting it we took her out because we knew she was going to be crying. It’s not like I was just chowing down ignoring her. Like I said, I’m a server myself.
I cleaned up our mess, prebussed the table for her, and still tipped her alright despise the horrible treatment we received (would’ve been 25% if she was even good, but she wasn’t.) I don’t know if she ignored me or just sucks at her job , but they weren’t busy.
I can’t imagine treating a new mom learning the ropes this way. We were so excited to go here. The fried pickles and ribs were great ☺️ Very sad staff.

Sign on the door said that it is temporarily at the Tomahawk Toss next door. Went into the Tomahawk Toss. Music was inappropriate for a family/restaurant atmosphere. It was more like a dive bar. We went ahead and ordered anyway. Decided to give it a chance based on past reviews. We should not have. I got the 2 meat platter with the Burnt ends, pulled pork, baked beans, onion rings and hush puppies. My wife got the all American burger. It comes from next door in to go containers, and plastic cutlery. For these prices? The Burnt ends were just okay and very fatty. The pulled pork was fine. The onion rings were room temp, greasy and the batter was falling off. The baked beans were room temp and had very little flavor. The hush puppies were fine, but usually they are served with butter or margarine. No butter or margarine served with them. The All American Burger. It came out super hot, to the point it almost burned my wife’s tongue. It was very overcooked, no taste or seasoning. The American cheese tasted like knock off/store brand Kraft singles. We did not finish our meals, I asked to cash out. The server asked about our meals, I mentioned the onion rings and the beans and all she said was that she need to check the warmers. I paid and left. I will never be back.
