I live in Santa Monica CA and come to visit Texarkana once a month. This is my first stop every time. Food is amazing and the a laid back atmosphere. The service is great. One note is a dish called Crawfish Grits. You must order them. Never cared for grits but these will blow you away!

Best kept secret in Texarkana!! We absolutely loved it and will be going back ASAP!! The food was delicious and surpassed our expectations, which were already way over bar, lol!! Staff was very nice and on top of their game! Atmosphere was so good, very open, with plenty of seating of all kinds. They started trivia night the evening we went which added some entertainment as well. I had the all you can eat catfish, highly recommended!! My husband had the grilled shrimp with rice, was excellent!! Perfectly cooked shrimp, big and juicy!! So many options to choose from, we can’t wait to go back!!

Not sure what I expected with this place via search on the internet and website limited information and gives a pricey description on The menu. Limited options viewable online. Location is a little bit out there definitely an old mom and pop joint with a beachy vibe? Thursday night’s has free trivia. Not your over the top type of steak restaurant however it’s the middle of winter and I would be curious to see what it’s like during the summer. Now the service wasn’t quite attentive or personable. I don’t feel like we were checked on often enough the server was rather mute however when the food was delivered it was fresh and made to order. I had the lime salmon and my guests had a steak we each had the different types of baked potato and I loved the sweet tea.

We came in and ate dinner! Among our party we had burgers, shrimp (boiled and chilled), charbroiled oysters, and the large ribeye steak! It was all delicious and the service from Maddie C was fantastic! She was attentive, friendly, and never allowed our drinks to run low.

Every thing about this place I love! The steak we shared was amazing… the twice baked potatoes were great! The atmosphere is relaxed and DJ our waiter was attentive and accommodating. What better place to dine and unwind after a long day of airline travel! Thank you so much!

Pop’s Place is my favorite restaurant in this area. Great food, great service, great music playing, reasonable pricing. Laid back atmosphere! Totally awesome place! I love Shrimp & Grits and have eaten it all over the south in our travels. Well, Pop’s Place has Crawfish & Grits…and it is better than any shrimp & grits I’ve ever eaten anywhere. And, you get bread pudding with your check!!

We arrived at 5 so it wasn’t crowded. Service was good, our waiter was attentive. The atmosphere feels like a local favorite. We sat outside there was a fan and misters so we were cool. We ordered Sally’s Dip, a bacon filet and a ribeye. The meals came with 2 sides. All the food was prepared well, the filet was a bit too pink, but tastey. We walked away very full.

I have lived in the Texarkana area for the last 3 plus years and cannot believe no one ever told me about this place; I had to find it by chance. I ordered their 16 oz ribeye steak and it was cooked medium rare to perfection. I also had a baked potato and grilled brocolli plus a small tossed salad. There was nothing bad at all about any of it. The waitress gave excellent service and brewed a fresh pot of coffee for me. I plan to be here again soon. Wish I had found this place sooner. Only downside is limited hours and only open 4 days per week.
