Best authentic Italian knots I’ve had ever. I been through 14 states and have ate Italian restaurants and pizzerias and have to say amazing. The homemade bread And fresh ingredients Mike uses are out of this town. When I say the Strombolis we are were like getting on a plane and flying to Italy to eat. Now we can without the jet lag. Must have if your around. The staff was amazing. So polite. Mike shows real respect and passion about his customers and food.

Overall Score: 4.9/10 – A very average pizza spot with a friendly staff and a large menu, but nothing stood out enough to make it memorable, and small charges for simple requests took away from the experience.
Atmosphere and Service: 5.1/10 – The outside looks decent, and the inside is big, clean, and styled like a traditional pizza shop with spacious dine-in seating. The staff seemed genuinely friendly. The menu had plenty of options, but a 46-cent charge just to put mustard on the side of a sub felt unnecessary and off-putting.
Cheese Pizza: 4.8/10 – The pizza felt like it had been reheated and didn’t deliver much flavor. The slice was thicker than expected and lacked any real zest or character. It wasn’t bad, just plain and forgettable. The price was fair, but the quality didn’t make much of an impression.
Chicken Broccoli Ziti: 4.7/10 – A very bland dish overall. The sauce was extremely light, offering little to no flavor. The chicken tasted like basic, unseasoned pieces and didn’t appear grilled, which left it lacking depth. Not a dish that felt worth the cost.
Steak and Cheese: 5.2/10 – Slightly better but still a safe and basic sandwich. The bread was toasted perfectly, but the steak portion was underwhelming, and the flavor was flat. Nothing bold or exciting about the sandwich to make it stand out.

I was actually visiting the post office returning an item that did not work, When I happen to notice this pizza joint and decided I’d go in and get me a couple slices and oh my God it was delicious!!!! Would definitely recommend!!!
The guy Workr hooked me up with two giant huge slices of pepperoni pizza and the crust was good. The cheese was good. The sauce was good. The whole thing was just delicious.

I’m from Upstate NY and I’ve struggled to find a good caterer in Chapel Hill that really hits the mark but Pop’s Pizza delivered! The whole process was smooth, everything arrived fresh and on time, and the service was excellent. Most important our guests loved it, and we’ll definitely be ordering again for future events. Highly recommend!

Great local slice shop that’s been in the area for a loooong time, ~20yrs. Great back then, still great now. Compared to a really good NYC or new haven slice, I’d rate this like 7/10. Good crisp on the crust w no flop.

Don’t let the exterior or interior fool you, this awesome hole-in-the-wall pizza joint is the best around! New York style crust, thin and cooked to crispy perfection, with super flavorful toppings in spot-on proportions. This is my go to lunch/dinner spot in Chapel Hill anytime I’m in town! Not to mention, the entire staff there are the funniest, sweetest, most genuine bunch of guys to their customers.
One stop here will absolutely ruin any of those other pizza chains for your permanently in the BEST of ways!!
