I used to really enjoy the Romeoville Pops location, but unfortunately it has gone downhill in recent years. The staff consistently come across as rude and almost annoyed that customers are coming in to order. It feels like you’re inconveniencing them just by being there.
My experience today really sealed the deal for me. When I paid, the employee handed me my receipt completely crumbled up and said, “Look at your number on that, okay?” The attitude was unnecessary and unprofessional.
I also ordered a steak sandwich that normally comes with red sauce on it. I asked for the sauce on the side so the bread wouldn’t get soggy on my drive home. Instead of simply putting it on the side, they charged me an extra $1 for the sauce… the same sauce that already comes on the sandwich that I already paid for. Charging extra for something that’s included just because it’s on the side feels like a money grab.

I don’t know what happened to this place a couple of years ago, it was great. They had specials of the day, and free refills. And food quality was so much better.
I now go to the other pop’s in Lockport, it’s a bit further of a drive, but we’ll I’ll worth it. They have specials, and free refills. And have staff that seem like they want to take your order.

Nice, clean, professionally run family oriented hot dog place to visit. HOWEVER, the ex-wife picked me up a gyro sandwich and it had VERY little tzatziki sauce, so it was dry and not as flavorful. It’s the first time I’ve been greatly disappointed with the quality of the food here! What a shame!☹️

Driest Italian Beef sandwich EVER! I ordered the super beef drink and fries, $20!!!
OK fine and dandy the food comes out, fries are good fresh made and hot. The sandwich I ordered with the cheddar cheese and they barely put any cheese. The meat was soo dry that I only ate half.
I asked for onions and bell pepper and they just laid it on the top of the meat. 1st and last time I’ve been there.

The service was quick, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be good or even correct, went there and ordered a grilled chicken sandwich easy mayo everything on it and onions, got a cold borderline uncooked piece of chicken, went back, reordered it, and got whatever this is, my order was just wrong both times

I ordered a Maxwell Polish that came with fries. Rather than put the fries in a separate bag, they rolled them up in the same paper my sandwich came in, so almost all of my fries were crushed. The Maxwell Polish isn’t even real Kielbasa. The onions were diced into tiny little pieces and they didn’t even bother to cook them. I feel like it’s almost false advertising because it was literally just a regular hot dog with mustard and raw onions served on an un-toasted french roll. Basically a ballpark hot dog for $20. What a let down… I will not be coming back.

Ordered a hotdog and a double cheeseburger. The hotdog wasn’t that great, the bread was hard, and the cheeseburger was good but had no flavor. The fries were the best thing I ate there. Was just trying a new place to eat at. I haven’t tried the beef so I couldn’t go higher or lower on the rating.

Need to edit review, I went back and had great service. The drive thru staff were polite and very professional. They must got rid of the bad one. (Been going for years, great food and usually great service. Last two times very rude drive thru personal.)

I went there with my mother in law and fiancé, I got a baby beef dipped with hot peppers and cheese, my mother in law got a grilled chicken sandwich (which was disgusting, dry and no flavor at all). After we left (not even 5 minutes later) I opened my sandwich and noticed there were no peppers. I went back into the restaurant and the lady that took our order was now IGNORING US and would not address the issue with the no peppers on my beef I thought it would be a quick fix and just give me a side of peppers WRONG. The guy from the drive through came to the counter (while the lady that JUST took our order stood by the ice cream machine like she was invisible and no one can see her) and told me I had to pay for the peppers on the side or he can take my now opened sandwich back and put the peppers on for free… Huhh?? What is the difference in giving the side of peppers if u will be putting on the sandwich for free..THEY ARE THE SAME PEPPERS? I ended up buying the side pepper because I did not trust them to take my sandwich to the back after going back and forth with him. Anyway I will NEVERRRRRRR go there again! If u guys are looking for some good food skip here and go to ABD’S They are AMAZING! And much better food, food options and customer service!

It’s all around awesome. Great food, phenomenal for the price, friendly staff, and way too clean for a hot dog joint. Went in hungry, left happy.
