Pops has been a staple in both me and my wife’s lives since we moved to Texas. The customer service is above and beyond, they remember your name and orders and are always happy to see a familiar face.
Their food bar is always comforting, filling, and delicious. We tried their tacos for the first time recently and we were blown away. Decently priced street style tacos in a family style diner? Sign me up!

Definitely a great place to drop in for a quick & affordable bite. Cafeteria style with food already prepared. We got the fried fish with black eyed peas & Mac & cheese. Was surprisingly good for fish that was not fried to order (& I am pretty picky on fried fish). Wish there was a rating between 4 & 5, because this place really is good, just not amazing. Service was very friendly, prices were much better than average (fish plate & other plates are $9.99. I would actually eat here on a regular basis if I was local.

I have been eating at Pops fried chicken for years. The last two times I’ve been to this location. The food was terrible very bland no seasoning and stale. You tell the manager and he has nothing to say I would not recommend this place for anyone who wants to sit down and have a good home-cooked meal I had your hamburger steak greens mashed potatoes, gravy, greens taste like grease potatoes taste like paste and the hamburger steak with a soy bean patty with brown gravy over it. Time before that I stopped and had the chicken dinner. Chicken was already turning brown on the inside. It was the damn I’m old and you tell him about it. Oh, it’s freshly cooked freshly cooked four hours ago maybe sitting under the heat lamp.

Place has gotten real bad lately. Seems their quality has taken a turn for the worse. Last 3 times I’ve been, there’s been items missing. Guess I’ll have to pull off to the side and start checking my order from now on.

My favorite stop on my twice a year camping trip to Tyler State Park. Staff is always friendly & kind, food is fresh, hot & always delicious! Restaurant is clean & well kept, you can tell this is where the locals in Lindale grab lunch. We dine in or take it to go, but the drive through is a great perk! My dog even gets excited when we pull into the parking lot because he knows he’s going to get delicious chicken scraps! We always order enough to have leftovers for our 5 hour drive back home. It’s the only time I’ll eat fried chicken, it’s worth the trip!

A quiet little diner with super friendly staff and a cafeteria style serving line. Lots of menu options besides fried chicken and fish. Dinners come with sides and there are a lot to choose from. Cold sides and hot sides. Sweet tea may have been the best I’ve had in Lindale. Was really impressed with the options on the menu.

It is said that a small Town’s lifeblood is in their family owned businesses! Pops honey Fried Chicken is a great food find! You can get fried chicken or you can get tacos or you can get home cooking items like meatloaf. They boast a plethora of Southern favorite sides, including turnip greens cabbage mac and cheese green beans Pinto beans mashed potatoes gravy, etcetera. The place is immaculately clean and the folks there are very friendly, I recommend it for sure

Didn’t even go in, I called, asked how much the 12 piece chicken was. They said 23.99!!!!! It says 13.99 on menu photo. Was told oh that’s the other location!!? Was told this was good food but I’m not Elon so I can’t afford it.
