Unfortunately, Pop’s & Gigi’s was a very disappointing breakfast experience for me. Far from the 4.6-star rating on Google Yeah, those burgers and fries …

My husband and I were looking for a good breakfast. Did not disappoint. Very small, hometown feel. I even ran in to an old friend from high school there. So good to see her!

First time to Pop’s & Gigi’s, I’m working in the area and typed good burgers near me & they were top of the list so I went to eat. I went through the drive-thru, There were 2 cars ahead of me but they went pretty quickly, not like McDonald’s but fast for a made-to-order burger and fries! The fries are hand-cut I think and they were delicious the burger was sooooo good, fresh lettuce and tomato, bun was soft and I like thin burgers, this was maybe a bit thicker than I like but it was seasoned perfectly and hand smashed(again, I think) so I didn’t mind at all that it was. I will definitely go get another one before I leave the area!

Got a Gigi’s burger and tots- amazing! The bun was perfectly toasted, the tots perfectly fried, and the size was generous.

I love good small-town cafes. Unfortunately, Pop’s & Gigi’s was a very disappointing breakfast experience for me. Far from the 4.6-star rating on Google
Yeah, those burgers and fries look good on Google and their Face Book page. Breakfast, well? The clues were right in front of my eyes. I just got dazzled by the burger and ignored the obvious. Almost completely absent in all of the pictures are any kind of breakfast. Looking back, I found only one sad looking picture of a biscuit and gravy in a to go box. There were no reviews for the breakfast meals. I’m slipping. I am usually much more diligent vetting a restaurant and seldom fooled. Not this time.
The positive, the food is reasonably priced, the owner is friendly, the service is adequate and for some reason we got free coffee. All that doesn’t make Pop’s & Gigi’s a good place to eat breakfast. Noticeable when we walked in; plates still on the tables, some food on the floor from the breakfast crowd; a little grungy feeling. The interior is small. Heavily decorated walls, a cluttered Hobby Lobby looking decor. This is where small town working people come to eat. Don’t expect pristine accommodations. I can live with that.
Biscuits, gravy and sausage patties for me. The sausage patties were small, pressed thin on the grill and burned charcoal black on the bottom side. Biscuits and gravy; fair. My wife had the French Toast Platter: two eggs, French toast, diced potatoes and bacon (supposedly,) check the picture. Eggs and French toast acceptable. The diced potatoes not good. Seem to have been cooked earlier in the morning and reheated. And NO BACON.
The community seems to love Pop’s & GiGi’s for burgers, fries and lunch. The food that has earned them their 4.6-star rating. Stick with that part of the menu. Avoid breakfast.
In other news:
Did you know that Inola is known as “The Hay Capital of The World.” A reputation the area has earned because of the high quality of Bluestem Prairie hay grown and baled in the many surrounding hay fields

And speaking of hay
Eat a burger here. But, for me “hey, I’m going to have to bail on Pop’s & Gigi’s for breakfast.”

Let me start by saying this is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. I was expecting a mediocre burger and this place surprised me with how fresh everything was. Juicy, fresh and flavorful is the best way to describe it. The female employee was very nice. I got the bacon cheese burger with jalapeño cheese balls. ABSOLUTE HITTER

Best burger I’ve had in some time. The bacon was great. I ordered Amazing special fries (chilli, cheese, onions, and jalapenos) they were the best EVER!! This little locally owned restaurant is worth the stop. Good price and great food. Staff was very friendly! If only I could have eaten it all…. A LOT of food!

The burger was as good as it gets. The service is good. Nothing fancy at all but I’d go back.

Small, dine-in or drive thru joint. I ordered the brisket fries with BBQ sauce and ranch dressing in the side as it’s offered as a daily special. It was REALLY good. The portion was big, so I got 2 servings out of it. My husband and son had the cheeseburger and they looked great.
Service was nice and there were a couple of other groups of people there, plus the drive thru seemed to be non stop busy.
