The most amazing home made meal from a restaurant I’ve had. It’s like going to Mee Maws for Sunday dinner good.
Cafeteria style and a drive up window. Perfect for families

One of the few old school restaurants left behind keeping culture and the old style alive. Yes, the food naturally grown no extra additives. Yes, it needs a little more soul to the food being southern style food. The greens are perfect, mash potatoes natural ingredients just potatoes no butter but it’s on the side as well as the salt. Old school not that bad no extra calories. Lol by the way real mash potatoes. As far as the corn bread kind of dry but dip that with the greens yummy. As for the meatloaf wow must be a recipe for grandma or grandpa. Delicious!!

$13 for two pieces of old, dry, yellow catfish with fries and pinto beans. The fish had been cooked at least 30 minutes prior to being sold and sat under heat lamps which dried and hardened it.
The fries and beans were pretty good.
In my experience, if you want catfish in Terrell, go to Julio’s. Pop’s should stick to chicken.

The chicken was A1 the pinto beans needs some serious seasoning and some type of meat sausage or turkey neck. Peach cobblers was great yet it was cold. Dressing had to much sage. Cornbread and rolls could have been hotter Black eyed peas needed seasoning mash potatoes definitely needed salt and pepper over all good experience

We drove 40 miles to try this place after hearing great things, apparently there are new owners because what we experienced did not match the rave review we heard. The fish was small and I’m still not sure it was Catfish. I am positive that The BBQ was baked and drowned in sauce. The rolls were hard as rocks and the deviled eggs were not great at all. I will say the Peach Cobbler was pretty good and the restaurant was clean. One of the servers had a great friendly personality but she was the only one. I do not recommend until they make some major changes.

I had the meatloaf today with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans and tea a roll and banana pudding. The mashed potatoes had a weird taste. The green beans I could tell they were out of a can with no seasoning at all meatloaf was good, the roll was hard.

I was introduced to this dinner by a local who recommended Pop’s for good cooked food. They have 16 different vegetables and meat cooked in 15 different ways. I had fried chicken, corn, and the most deliciously prepared pumpkin! I’ll definitely recommend Pop’s for their homestyle cooking!
