This is a hidden gem! Great take-out NY style pizza. Great menu, great value for menu offerings. Staff is friendly and polite and engaging. Pizza is super delicious thin light foldable savory goodness. I ordered 2 cheese slices came out very hot and bubbly. I like to support small business which are the life blood of our community. This is a great location right on the corner of 44th and university opposite of the wawa. Great for a quick bite or even Friday movie at home with the family. Great prices quality pizza! Definitely will be back with the family!

Pepperoni pie was so delicious with a generous amount of pepperoni and yummy cheese that had the right amount of oil. Was best pie I’ve had in a long time. Also had the fried zucchini for a starter served with your choice of sauce or salad dressing (sauce for us). That was a treat! Will definitely be my “go to” place for take out Italian now. So glad I have rediscovered Poppy’s!!

We ordered a large Pepperoni Pizza and a HOT 8 inch Italian Hoagie on a TOASTED bun. It is the night before Thanksgiving so the wait time for delivery was longer than usual which is to be expected. When it was delivered we discovered that the hoagie was not hot or toasted so we called. When they answered and we said we have a problem with our order, the lady put us on hold for more than 15 minutes, and then she said she would not refund the money spend on the hoagie and said that we would have to wait another hour for the new hot hoagie to be delivered and we would have to return the original hoagie.

Going to be moving to this area in Oct of this year so last week I was looking around at good food spots in the area. I drove by a place called “Poppy’s pizza and subs and had to circle back. I’m a sucker for a family owned pizza shop and I wasn’t disappointed. Very hole in the wall but the slice was tremendous. Nothing like a big, good, crispy, thick (pause) slice of NY style pizza. Grabbed two slices with pepperoni a sprite and a water with it and it was $11. Pretty reasonable in this economy. Leaving 5 stars for the atmosphere, great slice and the family vibe. Looks like I’ll be going through this menu pretty soon. Will update review if needed but for now 5 stars.

Very small place. Very busy, friendly staff, and phenomenal pizza. First time here and I ordered 2 slices with pepperoni, sausage and bacon. Fresh hot out the oven.
