The brainchild of one of his sons, Matt, and developed through the combined efforts of the entire Keeler family, Poppy’s Office opened in fall of 2023 and serves to keep Paul’s legacy alive through many of his favorite things. Designed as a replica of his office, the space is full of family photos, treasured mementos and memorabilia from Paul’s favorite sports teams. Poppy is the name Paul was given by his grandchildren. This is an EXCELLENT Speakeasy.

The GM, Trevor, was so friendly and personable, and the atmosphere is first rate.

The cocktails are creative, cold, and top-shelf. My wife and I had an amazing time, and it is well worth the drive out there.

The price point is competitive and the atmosphere and creativity and warmth of the staff make this a must-visit.

Went out as part of our monthly speakeasy experience and Poppy’s delivered! The sports and book decor was perfect for our “sexy librarian” attire. Service was friendly and prompt. The drink options were plentiful and visually appealing. The food was good. Highly recommend for a chilled place to drink and relax

Wow! Extremely knowledgeable mixologist (to call him a bartender would be a disservice). The blonde female bartender was also exceptional and made fantastic drinks. The drink menu is very unique and like no other drinks you’ve had.

The loaded brisket fries are FIRE and the st. louis ribs literally fall of the bone. Highly recommend going here. I’ll be back for sure.

Great, small and private venue. Just like it should be for a speakeasy. We sat at the bar and it was very warm and cozy. The mixologists were very attentive and knew their drinks. All the drinks looked amazing and both my wife and I tried 6 different drinks. All of them well balanced, and very different from each other. There is definitely something for every single palate. The “monkey bars” and the “no land in sight” were awesome. But the other 4 drinks were equally amazing. Food is limited, but I think it is because they are focused on the drinks mostly. Had three of the tacos and the elote. Good flavor overall. Would definitely comeback.

The bartender Tate absolutely killed it on beverages! I started off with a drink out of their book, and then I let Tate take over for me. He served me an array of beverages stuff I’ve never tasted before. I highly recommend it. I love the fact that’s connected to Liberty Station in carefree. As you walk in the front door off to the left there is a little lady sitting behind a desk all you seen was a bookshelf. She’ll ask you if you have reservations or you’re just walking in. We told her we were just walking in and she took us right to the bar and the rest is history!

Wife and I absolutely loved it! The bar manager is amazing and has always been friendly, professional and an excellent mixologist. We sampled a bunch of the drinks, all creative and delicious. Poppys is a great addition to the area and we look forward to returning to try more cocktails. Oh the tacos are delicious too. Excellent theming all throughout!

The only negative for me is that I wish this place was closer to where I lived. This place is a culmination of office memorabilia from an athlete (Can’t remember his name) who recently passed. His grandkids called him Poppy, hence the name. Really cool vibe and bartenders/mixologists (Tait and Trevor) with excellent customer service skills. They introduced me to my new favorite drink called the Cobbler made with milk clarified. What an awesome drink and awesome education from Tait on a number of cocktails and liquors. By far my best speakeasy experience in the greater Phoenix area! I need to also recognize the rest of the bar staff too as I think we interacted with all of them. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in the area.

Poppy’s office is a speakeasy dedicated to the late restauranteur, Paul Keeler, by his children. Located next to Liberty Station on Scottsdale rd just south of Carefree, there is a single door and lamp to lead the way. You’ll enter a small office and sneak back into the library and bar.

There’s just something about a dark speakeasy that makes me want an Old Fashioned. In Poppy’s Office it’s called Something Brown, made with a whistlepig, and it’s real nice. Also, if lychee is on the menu, my husband and I are trying it… so Lychee On Me was a good choice as well.

We didn’t try any food so…darn it…I guess we’ll have to go back. I did check out the restroom, of course, and was not disappointed. I also zoned in on some of the books on the sheriff’s shelves and was surprised at the choices. Blindside and The Matthew Shepherd story were shelved by us and I have to wonder if they were chosen for a reason… interesting.

It’s a great speakeasy that you must check out!

Poppy’s Office is a fun, relaxed and classy speak easy dedicated to the memory Paul Keeler, a Scottsdale restauranteur. Original and creative drinks and small bites with the option of ordering food to go from attached restaurant Liberty Station. I recommend checking it out.
