This is a great ice cream store on Douglas in downtown Lee’s Summit.
We met some friends for an ice cream social here. It was hot outside and a great time for ice cream.
Inside the store was cool and nice. The staff was super friendly and kind, handing out samples when asked.
I had the cherry ice cream with sugar cookies, which was a first for me and pretty indulgent. It was delicious. Really high quality ice cream. My wife liked it too. We would return for sure.

Went in on a Wednesday evening and got two scoops, one cake batter ice cream and one mango passion fruit sorbet with strawberry purée on top . I also tried their fancy soda in the cherry flavor it was very strong! The girls at the counter were very fast, helpful and kind. You can sample any ice cream you want before deciding and they also have little adorable chocolate truffles as well. I Highly recommend this place on a hot summer day.

Not too bad! I love some ice cream I’m not even that picky about it! However, I have no need to go back.
The place was packed tho so locals must really like it. Lots of flavors to choose from. I had green mint choc chip plopped into a tasteless sugar cone.
They also offer Andre’s chocolates since I gave it away to my friend, who’s ice cream toppled to the concrete, Idk what that one tasted like.
However Andre’s has never disappointed me so I am sure it was a tasty delight!!

delicious homemade ice cream; we’ve made this our current favorite ice cream spot. Love the environment and the friendly staff. Their coffee is incredibly good. they have outdoor seating as well. They offer this awesome jumbo split, fun dessert to tackle solo or with assistance.

Wonderful experience at Poppy’s. Tasty ice cream, a great variety of interesting flavors. Great service. To-go is the only option due to COVID. Staff was wearing masks and masks are enforced for entry. Parking is street parking. Entrance is semi-accessible.

Great place. The ice cream is much better and creamier than other ice cream spots. The red velvet brownie bites is fantastic. The cake and icing also excellent. I’m finishing the cone in the car, and I might have to go get another one before I get on the road. I’ve never craved another ice cream after finishing one before. This is definitely the go-to ice cream spot now
