Fantastic atomosphere, and the food is just absolutely insane. It was the best sandwich I’ve had in the last few years for certain. I ordered “the Ruby” which was as amazing as it sounds and was happy to see a vegan option! The bread is top tier and really makes the sandwich.
The prices are very reasonable for what you get. My only complaint is I wish they were open more hours or on the weekend for all us weekly 9-5 workers. Can’t wait to go here again.

It’s incredible how consistently amazing these sandwiches are! I have not bee displeased by a single creation, even the ones that have a few ingredients I may not always car for. Highly recommend any of the vegan sandwiches. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed!

I’m not a sandwich person but when I saw a sign on the door of Poppy’s saying Narcan was available inside, I wanted to support their business. I’m sooooooo glad I did. It turns out that I’m not a sandwich person but I am a *Poppy’s* sandwich person. You really have to try a Poppy’s sandwich to believe it—the inventive ingredient combinations are literally always delicious. I’ve never had a sandwich there that I did not love, and their cookies are also out of this world. Our city would be a better place if every Burlington business supported the community the way Poppy’s does; until then, I’m so happy to spend my money here on the best sandwiches not just in town but possibly (I don’t think I’m overstating this) the world.

Absolutely worth the wait. Some of the best sandwiches in the area but be sure to order ahead as the wait can be long and they sell out quick!
Bright and flavorful local ingredients really make Poppy’s sandwiches a standout and an easy competitor for Vermont’s All Around Best Sandwiches (and Lunch!) but don’t sleep on their other offerings like flaky hand pies or perfectly baked cookies and sweets.
Usually I have a go-to favorite to recommend but their rotating menu is full of mouth watering options to try with no wrong choices. You will definitely have to come more than once to try the range of different flavor combinations!

So glad i finally went here! I got the Ode on their house focaccia bread, and IT WAS SO GOOD! The herby aioli balances out the sweet tangy flavors of the pickled veggies, the soft boiled egg and the crunch of the vegetables create great contrasting textures, and despite the fact that its a massive sandwich- because of how fresh and light everything is you dont feel weighed down at all. Its a fun hidden gem in the north end, away from the many tourist traps of downtown. The crowd of locals inside gives it a fun homey vibe. GO HERE

Hands-down the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. Whoever comes up with the ingredient mash-up is a genius! There has yet to be a sandwich I did not devour and rave over. Plus Abby at the front is amazing and makes the whole experience there even better. I love this place and will most definitely be sending my husband there immediately after I deliver my baby at UVM! He already knows that is a top priority!

Poppy is a special place. Each sandwich is dialed in. The flavor combinations, the texture, the assembly. I’ve thought “this might be the best sandwich I’ve ever had” multiple times while eating here. They don’t miss. Can’t recommend highly enough. If you’re looking for a unique, carefully crafted sandwich that makes you stop and stare at it after each bite, this is your place.
