Poppo’s Taqueria is a family owned and operated Mexican inspired restaurant. We trace our roots to street food of San Francisco’s Mission District. Poppo’s offers unique layered flavors through the use of real fresh ingredients, hard work, and the passionate application of skill. We take a no compromise approach in everything we do. Our mission is to redefine the fast casual food experience, to exceed reasonable expectations, and to do things no one else is doing. Always go past it and have wanted to try it. Finally, we did!!! Nice and roomy inside with plenty of seating. Workers create dishes right in front of you. The service was excellent and the taste of everything was delicious . Big portions on all items. The chips were house made, the classic burrito was tasty, and the Tacos were incredible. We are sorry that it took us so long to try it.

Loveeee Poppo’s. This place is perfect for lunch or dinner on the island!! Indoor seating is the perfect place to cool down on a hot day or you can also sit outside. So far we’ve only had the chicken in burritos, tacos, and bowls, but those have all been amazing!

Great food! We love it here… Its Chipotle with a relaxed atmosphere. Only complaint is the chips: ONE pass with the salt is enough. ONE pass. Two sends me to the cardiologist; 3 sends your chips into the trash; 4 turns me into a raisin. Just stop it.

WOW. I don’t give five stars very often. This place deserved it. We ate here TWO days in a row. You would never know it is a chain restaurant! The burritos are out of this world. Fresh, flavorful ingredients, organic, and LOADED. Dough is pressed fresh for the tortillas, chips are made right there in front of you. (They use sunflower oil to fry it!)You definitely get a bang for your buck. These are the type of burritos you continue to stuff into your mouth after you’re full because it’s that good. Don’t pass up a chance to eat here and load your tongue with flavor!

If you find yourself by the beach and have a craving for the most delicious tacos, look no further than this hidden gem! I stumbled upon this taco spot during my vacation back to Bradenton. This is some of the best food there and best tacos. Forgot to make dinner and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip.

Literally best tacos I’ve ever had! The chips are homemade and delicious. The guacamole was amazing. My mom and I both got tacos and we were in heaven eating them. The workers were so friendly- they helped us craft some great tacos!! Shout out to Chris, Andy, and Ryan!!! So helpful!!
